I want to believe that every concerned Nigerian youth is not too happy about the current state of Nigeria most especially the economics sector, although Nigeria is called out of the recession period she was once in, things aren't going too well with the economy of the Nation as she is now considered as the poorest Nation there is on the planet! Embarrassing but far from being a lie as Nigeria is known for living in poverty while in Riches as infrastructural developments are well below standards and there is high level of corruption of politicians and organisation that are entrusted to provide services to the good people of Nigeria.
It is not far from the truth to say that one of the reasons the current buhari administration was voted in was because of the high level of corruption by the previous administration of Goodluck Jonathan, and after Buhari took over we can actually say he has really tried to tackle corruption but can we say he is tackling corruption squarely as most of his party members are accused of money laundering and he has turned deaf ears to to this. About the economic challenges of the country, I think the current administration is actually trying as it has always seen fighting corruption as the major challenge facing Nigeria, but now that the economy has seem a meltdown, who is to blame? Definitely not buhari because we we cannot expect a president who is over 70 years who's manifesto read out the doom it will bring to corruption in Nigeria and not taking cognisance of the failing economy and the decline in the education sector among many others.
Truly, Nigeria needs a selfless leader, probably someone like buhari but don't you think he's too old for that and has no clear cut contingency to tackle other problems Nigeria is being faced with including unemployment. A president like late umaru yar'adua won't be too bad as we saw how he worked on his 7 point agendas, increased minimum wage, increased Armed Forces salary, increased NYSC allowance, increased police salary, reduced petrol price among others just within two years in office. If we want Nigeria to grow to greater heights, we'll be needing a leader without a criminal record of any kind who will not allow the laundering of public funds and a man who has by means made the economy of Nigeria better either through his business or other contributions which have proved successful. A man like Aliko Dangote isn't far from this picture as he's a well known individual, one of the richest personality in Africa with a lot of mind blowing decisions which has led to his status of today except the fact of lack of political interest. Until Nigeria start using individuals like him, or other compatriots rather than Nigeria being used, we'll just be seen as a Nation in a vicious cycle of failed management as there won't be any change in the standard of living of the average Nigerian.
With this, I employ to all Nigerian youth putting tribal differences aside to think wisely about whWith this, I employ to all Nigerian youth putting tribal differences aside to think wisely about who to hand Nigeria to for the next four years come 2019 because a wise man once said " youths will be the leaders of tomorrow when they start making ruling decision from today". We should not by any means let our nation to be put into jeopardy. Let us all voice this out on social media.
