As we all know to be admitted in any University in Nigeria you must get up to the school cut off mark and get at least 5 (five) credits in either your WAEC or NECO result but we don't know much about the educational examination boards in Nigeria so we are going to be sharing a brief information about the top list of Pre-Universities Examination Boards in Nigeria.

1. WAEC





The west African Examination Council (WAEC) is an examination body established by it's member countries Gambia, Liberia, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Nigeria in 1952. The West African Examination Council (WAEC) which is the oldest education examination body in West Africa conducts West African senior school examination for university and jamb direct entry, this examination body consist of 3 (three) committee's namely


International committee : They deal on matters concerning all member countries.
National committee : They deal on matters concerning a specific member countries.
Sub committee : this committee deals mostly on the examination financial status.

The west African Examination Council only allow the minimum of 8 (eight) subjects and the maximum of 9 (nine) subjects during registration and their grading system are

A1-----Excellent
B2-----Very good
B3-----Good
C4-----Credit
C5-----Credit
C6-----Credit
D7-----Pass
E8-----Pass
F9-----Fail.

2. NECO

My question is, is there need for post utme now that jamb has improved? Are other countries writing three exams before gaining admission like ours?

Digital watch i see your point there but you know the country we are in, even if i am the writer i really do not support the writing of 3 examination before you can enter university. It is only a system to make money from students.

JUPEB is competitive like UTME. JAMB has improved so I see no need for Post Jamb except the university management do not trust them
