An NGO, Advocacy for Better Welfare of Nigeria Police, on Sunday canvassed a minimum wage of at least N100, 000 for the least officer in the Nigeria Police to ensure quality service delivery.

Mr Solomon Bankole, the President of the group, who made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, said that it had become imperative to sanitise and rebrand Nigeria Police through improved welfare.

According to him, the time has come to improve the condition of service of police officers to get the best out of them.

“It has become imperative to update and upwardly review the monthly salary of all officers, rank and file with a minimum of N100,000 for the least officer.

“We must advocate for improved policies and continuous review of such policies to hold the police accountable for better services and respect for human rights,” Bankole said.

Plus they want to make NYSC 49,500!

it has an effect ,government expenditure will increase there by inflating many goods to meet up with the budget. There by causing our budget to suffer budget deficit

Eskuz me, will it stop them from bribery? The curses police receives everyday attracts thunder.

I knew this country has actually died when they say bail is free, and even paste it on the walls in police stations, yet, they make money through bail and force victims to testify in writing that they were bailed free, and nobody does anything about it. Then buhari will say he's teaming up with the police to fight corruption.
