Both of them were not even running the party from day 1. Abubakar Rimi built that party in Kano, I don't even know who he left it for.

You practically know nothing about Kano politics. Kwankwaso didn't bring 2m votes to Kano. Buhari influence brought 2m votes. With or Without both Kwankwaso and Shekarau in APC as long as PMB contests he will always get high votes in Kano. Or you didn't know Shekarau under ANPP become the Gov of Kano state under ANPP which was formed by Buhari defeated Kwankwaso when Kwankwaso was a Governor in 1999-2003. Shekarau has never hidden his disapproval for sharing the same political party with Kwankwaso whom he defeated and sacked from the governorship in 2003.

Shekarau left APC the moment Kwankwaso crossed over from PDP in 2014 and was handed the Kano state APC party structures while Shekarau took up the Education minister offer from PDP /Jonathan, and he has abandoned PDP now that Kwankwaso has returned home to PDP, thereby allowing him to also return home to the APC he helped form as an ANPP chieftain.


Same way Dele Belgore will never share a political party with the Saraki political clan. Belgore left ACN/ APC the moment Saraki crossed over from PDP, and has also left PDP the moment Saraki returned from APC.

These are politicians who will never accept the leadership of one whom they consider as a failure who is more interested in a fiefdom/aristocracy, rather than democratic equality.
