Modric tried but if it's about being the best player in World Cup Messi was once that but he didn't win the award that year ahead of Ronaldo. Modric won the Champions League this last season and like Ronaldo he has won the last 3 edition editions but how come they are just now recognizing him?

Was Modric inclusion a plot to cut Messi out owing to the fact that Salah deserves a spot too hence, top 3 filled.

Salah tried too but if it's really about the Champions League did he win it? As a matter of fact did he win any trophy?

I don't have anything against Ronaldo, if he wins it I wouldn't say he didn't deserve it..

But I just think it would've been a little bit fairer if either one of Modric and Salah were replaced with Messi..Who knows maybe FIFA is compensating the duo for their potential omissions from the ballon d'or.
