Which earthquake? Its probably some ammunition dump exploding.ikeja cantonment incident comes to mind.

don't mind the OP, if he truly lives in Abuja he should know that things like this happen every day due to rock blasting that happens in every corner in Abuja.

This evening i noticed it, i was just warming food in the microwave when the thing happened.

By now abuja resident should be used to rock blast by now.
When i came to Abuja newly and experience it for the first time i panic and ran outside, and people will just be laughing at me. But now when it happens i don't even notice or care anymore. If earthquake should happen its going to be in the coastal area of Nigeria(lagos) not abuja that is seating on a rock.

Heard a heavy blast and the whole house was shaking around 10pm and I have been wondering because that isn't the time quarry company normally detonate dynamite to blast rock and it just occurred to me now that I heard similar sound and shaking around 4pm without prior siren which is normal before dynamite goes off..
I just hope it's not earthquake oh....
