Yeah... I think the foreign body that entered his eye scratched the cornea or inadvertently while trying to remove it, and the eye drop he was given exacerbated it or it got infected outright!

Pls see an ophthalmologist today. don't see an optician o.some optician will tell u they can treat it it's a lie.i almost lost my sight some months ago. I had Conjunctivitis after my child brought it home and infected all the family.i got it last and mine was acute. i cldnt see.referred to an optician who was treating me until I had blurred vision and I went back to the clinic then was refered to an ophthalmologist who is also a professor. she gave some drugs and told me if I had delayed I would ve lost my sight.

Similar to mine. My case was that I was diagnosed with allergic conjunctivitis. My eyes allergic to something but now I have figured the thing.... Sleeping with cloth using it covering my face at night caused it and also swimming rarely. My symptoms when it start is tears in my eyes, severe running nose and cataarh and I feel like I can't breath or struggling to breath . I feel like an object in my eye but there is none and my eye turn red fast. When I applied water it worsen it that my eye turn blur. It happen to only one eye.

Had to rush to the teaching hospital were doc told that it's allergic conjunctivitis for my eye to be dripping and catarrh and running nose . He gave me paracetamol and one eye drop for allergies. Within 12 hrs, my eye all clear and blur vision disappeared and running nose stop with aid of panadol or paracetamol.

It happen again 3 times in a year, so I now discover that when I sleep with clothes or rapper using it to cover my face, I will get it. I have ask my brother if I open my eyes in night but he said I open it little bit.

You need to see an ophthalmologist and endocrinologist asap. It could be complications from poor management of diabetes and hypertension. This usually leads to glaucoma, cataract, etc.

Glaucoma doesn't just develop like that. 90% case of glaucoma are usually hereditary. And even if he were to develop it, it doesn't come with this amount of force. It is called the silent but deadly cause of blindness.
I don't think it's cataract either. He said the blur in vision started after he used the eyedrop prescribed by somebody. Probably the eyes were reacting to the drops cause its not meant for his own symptoms exactly.
So, dear, OP, I'll advise you see a primary eye care giver (an Optometrist) for eye screening so the right steps can be taken. The earlier the better cause human sight is very expensive.

bro... I had a similar experience twice too... all I did was to go to the NATIONAL EYE CENTRE at Kaduna close to me.. and with God grace it helped and am good.. go see an eye specialist you will be fine.

Ur developing an eye problem which will likely be fixed if u see an opthamologist.
Nothing to be worried about.

maybe the foreign object that went into your eye scratched the cornea and the aftermath of the wound is the scar you see there.

have a similar issue. optician said it will go with time, this is over six months my vision is not yet clear or is operation the only option.

yea, not likely cataract, cataract is a chronic conditions and wld not present with acute visual lost, posible differential angle closure glucoma, foreign body in the eye, at op seek medical help ASAP the eye is a very delicate organ
