Abubakar Bukola Saraki was born on 19 December 1962 to the family of Olusola Saraki, a senator (1979–1983) and a one time Senate Leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and his mother Florence Morenike Saraki. He attended King's College, Lagos, from 1973 to 1978, and Cheltenham College in the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1981 for his High School Certificate. He then studied at the London Hospital Medical College of the University of London from 1982 to 1987, where he obtained his M.B.B.S (London).

Saraki worked as a medical officer at Rush Green Hospital, Essex, from 1988 to 1989. He was a director of Société Générale Bank (Nig) Ltd from 1990 to 2000.

In 2000, President Olusegun Obasanjo appointed Saraki as Special Assistant to the President on Budget. During his tenure, Saraki initiated the Fiscal Responsibility Bill. Saraki also served on the Economic Policy Coordination Committee, where he was responsible for the formulation and implementation of several key economic policies for Nigeria.

Adeosun's biggest problem was not that she didn't do NYSC but that she forged her certificate.

Leave op, he doesn't know what he is saying. kemi's problem is that she forged her certificate. after all not everyone in government has NYSC certificate.

The precedence that has been set by this Kemi Adeosun's case will be the undoing of so many in the Nigerian political sphere and it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

It is obvious no one will have the moral grounds to say Buhari is on a witch-hunt in case this becomes the latest koboko to whip perceived and sworn enemies into line because he had led by example and I'm sure it is now becoming clear why Kemi had to be sacrificed.

There are so many ways to kill a rat hiding behind the clay pot without breaking the clay pot itself.

Was he a director in proxy or an active member? Obviously he must have been a director in proxy as he was not an executive director.

He definitely might have his exemption or did his service with SGBN.

Ministerial position is an appointment which often needs good educational background, technically, a graduate must have NYSC cert, either exemption letter or real NYSC cert after d service year.

This is where the military that drafted our constitutions perfected their frauds, you can contest for positions like governor, senator, president or any political office once you have only ssce cert. That's the basic constitutional requirement.

So Saraki or any presidential doesnt need to present NYSC, even if they have phD, they can decide not to present it, all they need to present is just their ssce certs and they are good to go.

But in the same country, a common man will need degree with NYSC cert to apply for govt jobs or get appointments as ministers.

Buhari, Saraki, Atiku, and others aspirant need only ssce certs to be a president but Adeosun and other ministers need to mostly have good degrees with NYSC cert to be appointed by those who preside over them with ssce cert

Our constitution is a fraud.

The elites that drafted the constitutions are smarter than us. Saraki can't be in the same because he or any of his politician colleagues don't need to be educated beyond ssce to contest for any position.

You don't need degree to be a gov, senator or president, so saraki might even decide not to present beyond ssce cert to contest.

Aregbe claimed he had HND, he only presented ssce even despite people claiming he had no HND and pressurizing him to present it, he only presented the least cert constitution allowed him which was ssce cert.

The only mess he could find himself is if he had once at a time presented NYSC cert while he was an adviser to OBJ and then discovered to be forged like Kemi Adeosun. Aside that, he can afford to keep his NYSC and not present it to contest for presidency, constitution doesnt mandate him or any one.


Even Buhari couldn't present the constitutionally required ssce cert in 2014 and he's a president today
