Reasons she herself is yet to come to terms with. But as usual, the Spinsters and single women are cheering her up and believing that to be the new way to go under the guise of Women Rights/Equality Movement whilst ignoring the teachings of the Holy Bible in Genesis 33 :12, Exodus 22 :16 - 17 and the Noble Koran 4:4, 4:24, 2: 236 on the payment of mahr/dowry in Islam.

This reminds me of the Linda Ikeji celibacy Movement that ended with her bearing a child without a known husband. STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING IN THE VIRTUAL SPACE, here people live for likes, comments and popularity. Nothing is real... Absolutely Nothing!

Bride price is traditionally-symbolic of a traditional marriage.

I do not see a place for such a custom in the near future as MANY DO NOT KNOW THE ROADS to their villages presently and futuristically.

I don’t understand the problem with Chimamanda’s stance.

Even if she had her bride price paid. . . And Linda got pregnant for a married man, EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THEIR VIEWS OR BELIEFS!

No one forced anyone to FOLLOW BLINDLY or AGREE with them.
