CodeTemplar:Lol making referrals to the past passes as an attack? Anyway, I read and understood it and I still maintain my stance. What sham in the guise of a loan system? With which jobs are they going to pay back the 4-6 million? N-Power’s 30k? Or with unemployment that has been averaging 20% over 4 years now? This is putting the cart before the horse. Some people are just about to become overnight billionaires (mark these words). The banks will provide the funds, most of the loans will go bad, banks will run back to government, bailouts will be provided of course because of how sensitive the banking/financial system is, banks and this soon-to-be billionaires would start making untrue and unverifiable cases of their loans to the scheme going bad (just as the oil subsidy saga) and like that another leakage for sucking up public funds will be created. Lol do you know how many years it takes the average Nigerian graduate to get an “okay job” after graduation? And that’s if they eventually do. Or why did you suggest in your comment that graduates leave school only to end up being yahoo boys and prostitutes? I guess there were jobs for them but they only opted to thread the path of crime. Or is it the loan obtained that will give students the requisite skills to make them employable? Maybe the loan system comes with the magic of overhauling our outdated educational curriculum. There’s a UN prescribed percentage of your budget that should go into finding education, you haven’t worked on that. Your senators, governors and other public office holders account for a large chunk of your recurring expenditure, you are not even thinking of fixing those. In this year alone, 123 million naira was proposed in the budget for buying “catering equipments and materials” in Aso-rock alone, 94 million naira of tax payers’ sweat was expended on the same catering equipments last year, honorarium and sitting allowance at the state house stood at 556 million naira or how about 200 million budgeted every year for buying computers in Aso-rock. A budget that 30 percent of it will be financed by borrowing and someone is justifying another move to further defraud the poor. I don’t know how we have become so docile that we just accept whatever is thrown at us. These animals in human skin carting away our common good whilst we cheer on is the new norm. God! There was a country indeed. I still maintain that this is not workable at the moment pls. The negatives are way more than the positives and that will only cost the government and our society more, even non-monetarily. 5 Likes |

micflo28: My thoughte exactly. The APC government muhammadu Buhari knows that promoting illiteracy as is done in the north will make nigeria a huge factory of illiterate zombies who will be counter-revolutionary, ambitionless and docile mor0ns that will keep them in power for years. They have already tested waters in Osun by impoverishing people there and refusing to pay salaries of teachers and parents, which means teachers can not teach and parents can not pay. So during elections they'll give stipends to buy the votes of the people who are now hungry illiterate zombies and mor0ns and already have poor memories as nigerians and win the elections. Osun is a successful case study of how politicians like APC can use hunger, illiteracy and poverty to create zombies and win power in yorubaland. I doubt it can work in Igboland and South south where literacy and republicanism is part of their core values. 2 Likes 1 Share

mrvitalis:You tried to make sense but still didn't make sense. You are talking about America. Why didn't you mention Finland or Germany that are tuition free and still offer world class education. You are forgetting America have put things in place for their education system to work successfully. Even at that, their citizens still take years to pay back the loan. Nigeria has to find what will work for her people and do it. We are still begging people to go to primary and secondary schools that are not even expensive and you want to increase tertiary education tuition, tell parents to take loan and you think people will go to Universities? The America system won't work for us. There are other ways to get quality education. Ask Norway, Finland and co 1 Like |

to think that some people still come out to support this obscene evil is discombobulating. These same people got education for free in the early 1970s and now they are proposing this evil and wicked idea. If not for looting by our politicians, there is enough money to fund education at a really subsidized rate. Their evil plans will fail. May be this will be the tipping point that will awaken the masses into a revolution in this country, cos they are beginning to stretch their luck far. It just a marginal increase in the price of staple food in egypt that kick started the arab spring in egypt. Maybe Nigeria spring is getting closer with this evil plan |

Do you realise that those bastardizing our educational system with dump policies are the same people who enjoyed free education, lived in a 2-man room while in school, and had employment letters handed over to them at graduation? They can't pass those down but want to finish what is left. |

Grupo:Minimum wage you are talking about is funny What percentage of American budget is used for salary Where we use 70% and you want increase ..sure let's make it 200% of our revenue so we keep borrowings money to pay workers and forget about infastructure If you increase vat to 15% now and focus on taxing people like you would be the first to complain People like you think it's easy At 18k wage bill of federal government is 166bn You see how much they make every month, take out 166bn... They take out money eyes needed for defence and policing about 20bn -50bn a month.. What's left.. What would that impact for 180 million people When you quote me state facts |

MyGeneration: Very very wrong reasoning. Several research works has proven that Education and health has the capacity to improve the quality of life of people. As a matter of fact government investments in education is responsible for the fast growth in Asian tigers. Educated people are more productive in the workplace or as entreprenuers. The government should instead increase subsidies on education and work on creating suitable conditions for foreign investors and businesses to thrive e.g stable electricity, good road networks, mechanization of agriculture. |
