It still beats my imagination as to how Buhari made it to becoming a General in the Nigerian army. In today's Nigeria, he would start and end up as a recruit in the Nigerian set up. Even though the system we had rewarded hardworking people, it was not well structured to disallow charlatans and dullards from permeating our national life. The system was too weak , reason why a complete illiterate will rise to the respected office of an army general and then onto the president of a country filled with intellectuals. *DropsMic |

columbus007: When she was making "common" clay pot, the value was high. £1 = N1. If you can make your own things and DO WITHOUT foreign goods, your currency value would be very high. But when you start importing EVERYTHING, you are inderectly CURSING YOURSELF. You are telling the overseas nations that you don't have anything that is of value to them. That your claypot is "Common". That their own plate is BETTER than all your handcrafted common claypot. Then end result is thatinstead of collecting N1 and giving you £1 in return, they will ask for N2, then N5, then N10 for £1. As you continue cursing your common claypot, they will ask for N150, N250, N500 and give you £1. One day, they will tell you YOU and your country are all USELESS. Kill your father and sell your village, and in return collect £1. This is how exchange rate works. NEVER belittle your handiwork. The hand that they used to make iPhone that is tearing your head is the same hand that you have. Never be desperate for foreign goods. Do your own. 1 Like |
