Wristler: On the contrary I think this claim has been debunked previously on this forum, I recall Nigeria having one of the cheapest packages, don't forget also that our nation is extremely corrupt money must exchange hands from the lowest to the highest officials. 1 Like |

TSTV is a case of an ignorant person planning to run a business without doing his home work and findings, without listening to advise. He went into it and discovered it's nowhere as easy as he thought. Incompetence!!! 1 Like 1 Share |

Bright ran 3 Companies before TSTV. They are GWB( GOD with Bright) Bricke and Anthens and AHTV (Africa Health Television). All 3 collapsed due to personal management style. Bright was notorious for borrowing money from staff while he ran AHTV in Gwarimpa. He most times never paid back. His personal style that reeks ego and incompetence brought down his outfits. Its sad when entrepreneurs lay the blame of failure squarely at the foot of government or Nigerians. True, the attitude of Nigerians may negatively affect business, yet MTN, Dangote, Globacom and numerous other business owned, ran and operated by Nigerians in Nigeria has continue to thrive inspite of climate. The business model of TSTV was faulty from beginning. That factor, coupled with a personality like bright was a predictable disaster. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

As far as am concerned Nigerians are the reasons why Nigerian businesses are collapsing , once they know this is made in Nigeria and there is any slight mistake in it na to use mouth tear am down, especially product like made in Nigeria rice despite it quality the prefer made in India because it has the name made in Nigeria with this attitude there is no way we would be free from the claws of dstv, mtn and there crazy charges, instead if criticizing why didn't the protesters pick out the problem it has and ask him to improve on it Mr Bright if u can hear me don't even think of giving up on TSTV n try to improve it quality if all the errors are fixed I am sure they won't have a reason to complain also work on your customer relation and attitude these could pull the company down even if your will is strong |

Some peopleare just obscenely senseless. I mean how is the a response to your failure to give people who invested in your shitty company what they paid for? Are you the only company in Nigeria? Dangote is a Nigerian and has gone global and you're here talking nonsense. It's either you give them what they pay or refund their money. Idiot |

I honestly assumed and hoped TSTV was the saviour Nigerians hoped for — the same as HITV which swooped in back in the day to unburden the masses — but thank God unlike many Nigerians here I know the benefit of reading through history. I went through a few pages from 2008 thereabout to familiarize myself with the company [HITV] and conclude if it was really the chain-breaker it claimed at the time. What I came to was no different from the situation opportunistic CEOs perform in a land of desperate citizens. I read from users here and official journalists who composed epistles, clearly detailing the sham which was HITV at the time. It was realized there was no quality content on the service apart from soccer which featured only the European League delivered in a picture and sound quality no different from watching paint dry. I read on the horrors associated with paying monthly subscription fees for the service and how sometimes it took up to two months of steady complaining before one gave in to the knowledge there were scammed. I read that even the customer service representatives were also victims of the same system, ready to sympathize quickly with a customer as they both faced the same lingering issue. I am not a DStv agent but I have used Multichoice as my preferred choice of entertainment since 1993. The company is not perfect but I can beat my chest and say no Nigerian company is ready to bear the huge burden of unshackling the masses from the South African monopoly. None is capable, honestly. TSTV is a scam too good to believe. I was hopeful at first but when I saw they couldn’t keep up with their own ruse I lost hope. For the hopeful these continuous revelations keep showing their exercised hope is already a lost cause. 2 Likes |

ZAWs: The bolded are very good points. But i have something to counter all of that. Business 101 Questions. What makes you different from the competition? How do you stay relevant inspite of the competition? TSTV would have succeeded if they planned properly. Lets forget all that bullshit about people sitting on what or what not. The reason TSTV failed is that they failed to plan properly. Contingency plans are necessary in business. If you ask me, I will tell you that they were looking to make quick bucks and eventually disappear. The BEIN SPORTS they were offering was in farking ARABIC. Yeah you read that right ARABIC. if they truly truly had the correct rights, BEIN SPORTS will work with them to provide the English version or whatever. Ask yourself this question, apart from the sports thingy they were offering, what other stuff was being advertised. The fake 100gb internet bandwidth? Access to movies still in the cinema?? What?? Both illegal btw. Same thing happened to HITV. They thought that by offering football, all will be well. What?? Most Nigerian businesses are shortsighted. No Projections, no ambitions, no nothing. It all about making the money in 2, 3months. The Microsofts and Apples of this world, do you honestly believe that if they had the Nigerian Mentality, they would still be in business?? Facebook started from a school dorm Apple started from a garage. In conclusion, TSTV failed because they failed to have a business structure in place. They thought they could deceive Nigerians and bail. Some will come on here and say stuff like DSTV is milking Nigerians. lol what?? Milking or whatever anyone calls it is a sign that an organization has its nuts together. They have managed to stay relevant since the days of Multichoice. Where is AIT? Minaj? DBN? or even ABG? Where are they today?? Stop displaying your ignorance for everyone to see, please... In the words of my current favorite rapper Lil Baby: Brand New whip got no keys, wa wa wa bitch Im a baby.. 1 Like |
