Police worldwide don't engage in law enforcement. 'Stone throwing' protesters is not an invitation to shoot. When people are protesting, it's an opportunity for politicians, and police to earn their keeps, not for soldiers to bare their claws.

We must accept civilization and accountability; we must not always embrace savagery.

Anywhere is the world where soldiers are used to violently quell a protest is a matter of human right. This are basic tenets of civilized society. Don't let politic make you stand on the wrong side. Cos, if you are at the receiving end you will understand.

Calling for lynching of an army officer is very wrong and condemnable, yet it's not an opportunity to fire in that densely populated environment with civilians and motorists all over the place.

Take it or leave it, those soldiers behaved like some untrained armed bandits with sense of entitlement. It's not how to develop professionalism in the armed force.

Today we are being told three 'Shite' members were killed? How do we know they were not innocent by-standers caught in the indiscriminate fire as they tried to scamper for safety.

Let's stand for justice and leave politics be!

we all know opening fire on those guys was wrong.but I was jus asking a sincere practical situation question as applied to those soldiers.and from the what the guy that covered the clip was saying was for those guys stoning to kill the soldiers.
Situations like this was what made me shelve my plan of joining the military/force

There are rules of engagement in dealing with those kind of scenarios. Why I don't subscribe to threat of violence directed at the soldiers, they are better trained, better equipped, and better motivated to hold the higher ground. They must show restrain, especially when dealing with civilians.

Shooting live bullets at stone wielding civilians, in a civilian dominated area, is both indiscriminate and disproportionate use of force.

The shiite using the same tactic as used on this event murdered a Policman Kaduna few weeks ago, other have to run for safety,
Should security continue to run away from them n the name.

Stone throwers, and rioters should be dealt with by Riot Police. Anyone who assaults or kills a policeman should be arrested by the police and prosecuted. That's how it's done.

Protesters killing a policeman is not a license to kill; not by the police, let alone soldiers. That's how civilisation works!

In a Civilized world you don't Kill a Government Official in Protest. Doing so is tantamount to violence against the government. Even the US will not it lightly.
