Bath weekly with mild dog soap. pls do nt use tick repellant at dis stage,d pup is still very young. try to maintain a clean environment to avoid diseases. do nt feed bones to d dog.no raw feeding should be done as well cos d pup is still to young.

I agree. one month is too early and it might misbehave(I learnt that the hard way,mine bites a lot)You have to be extremely careful cos at this stage any small thing can kill them.Always watch it and don't let it pick up dirt as it hasn't developed strong immunities yet.And also congrats!

my dog has Neva had ticks either cos of my experience with my first dog.
unfortunately, I was still a child then so had little or no knowledge about dogs.it was infested with ticks and flies .
I'll advice u to buy tick and flea repellant cos they don't know anything like "special dog".they are blood sucking demons DAT kills a dog slowly.
U have a Caucasian so you must be extra careful cos they tend to be hairy. It could be very difficult to find them in Caucasians but with d repellants,u have nothing to worry about.

I'm working on it.He's 4 months now and you know how they are at that age (not attractive)So I'll dig up an older pic from like 3 month or 6 weeks.He's 55cm now(couldn't get weight he won't agree to take it)And thanks for the advice.It was really helpful.

yea,his dog is nice and has longer coat but I prefer local dogs with a more hunting like appearance.
The funny thing is dat my dog do hunt.he breaks his chain angrily anytime he sight any chicken in our compound. Chases them like crazy and kills dem but doesn't eat them.
he would just put them in front of our front door and move on(was shocked d first time he did dat).had to pay for all d chicken he killed...lol

last 10 weeks,barking at an intruder (my friend)he started barking at 4 weeks.Which was the day he arrived!

I know her great grand ma up till her mum they are thrice her size and if you go through my thread you will see a boy from her last litter short coated and defined muscles at 9 months you need to see him now she has produced really good pups

personally I prefer shorter coats and defined muscles thats why I don't like caucs

I really fukkd up by spending 45k to buy a rott/gsd bitch only to find out later that she cant give birth, I should have just bought a beautiful Ekuke bitch and saved money.

Thanks for your observation!I want him to grow as big as he can get. plan to breed him at 2.5 years.He is four months now and he has nearly doubled his size!Should I post more pics? I mean,it's not my thread,I'll need permission...

jack got his second anti rabies shot on the 15 of December 2018. I have never seen any dog dat hates a veterinarian like my dog. On sighting the doctor, he would start barking excessively and also start acting really nervous. The worst is wen the doctor brings out jack worst enemy, the injection needle. I usually put a muzzle on him before the doctor comes in contact to avoid stories that touches.

I noticed jack appetite dropped drastically after he was given the shot.He refused to eat anything apart from chicken, but he is fine now...guess its just the after effect of the vaccine.

But I have only given him antirabies vaccine ones, since then I haven't given him anymore and I will not, i am confident that he does not have rabies because he does not go outside the compound to socialise with other dogs.

I make sure I give him d vaccine just to be on a safe side. He is very aggressive and territorial so he needs to be in check in case he bites some one.
i deworm him and give him multivitamin tablets every month and it doesn't have any effect on him.Just the rabies vaccine.

you may regret not vaccinating your dog if he bites somebody and the police gets involved or you are travelling with him to another state.
