Besides politicians and oil magnates that constantly seek easy ways to move stollen monies outside nigeria does anyone know of any hardworking Nigerian banking with HSBC or UBS? Buhari might have failed in very many ways but I am MOST happy with how he has made life difficult for the looting and thieving status quo!

PDP and his thieving elites is a NO-NO! Buhari is wayyyyyyyy better than this bastardss.

Do not expose your ignorance. Those are wholesale commercial bankers. No FDI comes to your country without going through those giants. All your banks in Nigeria have total balance sheet value less than one of those banks.

Those banks are actually richer than Nigeria.

Most Buhari supporters are actually as ignorant as the man

Do you know what capital flight and Money laundering is?

They are running away because of BVN and TSA. As opposedvto Stanbic IBTC and Standard Chartered, they do not operate cash / over the counter accounts in Nigeria.

BVN and TSA has made huge transfer / deposits difficult as the owners can be traced. Remember MTN transfers?

capital flight means this white people are taking thier money away from the country due to the danger of re-election of buhari. BVN and TSA started 2015 after buhari was president why didn't they run then. I asked you a simple question.

where do you think FDI comes from, is it from WEMA, LAPO or any of the banks.

You would find that these two perform none of the functions you mentioned. Rather they engage in correspondent banking relationships and services to other financial institutions in Nigeria. They were not licensed to accept deposits in Nigeria so how would they launder money here?

Nigerian politicians are like ding bats... They keep feeding off the Nigerian flesh and blame the system for failing. What was Atiku's impact when he was VP and when he wasn't? We don't need a bureau de change to council us.

Former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar on Saturday said he was very sad that two global banking giants were leaving Nigeria as a result of bad economy.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had announced on Friday that Global banking giant, HSBC and UBS, a Swiss private bank, had closed their representative offices in Nigeria.

Reacting to the development on his twitter page, @atiku, the former vice president said it was always a sad day for the country when such entities packed up.

He said Foreign Direct Investment, FDI was key component to economic growth, saying that his administration would attract more FDI if elected by making the CBN stronger and independent.

Atiku stated that he would banish multiple exchange rates and promote market-led economy.
In his words: “Always a sad day for our country when such entities pack up. FDI is a key component to economic growth. My administration will attract more FDI by making the CBN stronger and independent, banish multiple exchange rates and promote market-led economy.”

The CBN had announced that the banks had closed shops on Friday, revealing that FDI in Nigeria fell to N379.84 billion in the first six months of 2018, compared to N532.63 billion recorded in 2017.

In July, HSBC predicted that a victory for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 would have a negative effect on the economy.
In its response, the presidency asked the bank to return stolen assets allegedly hidden in its coffers.
However, in its projections for the second half of the year, higher oil prices and production would serve as gains but rising foreign debt and uncertainty surrounding the 2019 general election would be a drawback.

The CBN also said three lenders — which were not named — failed to meet their minimum liquidity ratio of 30 percent.

It added that non-performing loans dropped from 15 percent in 2017 to 12.4 percent as of June 2018, adding that this was still a long way above its five percent threshold.

I have come to realize that Atiku is not talking to the nation with these short rhetorics he dishes out. He uses them to control the minds of Atikulants so they stay glued to his charade.

Does anyone know the truth behind these banks leaving Nigeria?

Ok, do you all recall a bank known as Societe Generale? These Swiss banks are leaving for similar reasons. For diplomatic reasons and to build more cooperation with Switzerland, particularly in area of repatriation of stolen wealth, Nigeria has overlooked the crimes committed by HSBC and UBC as conduits for channelling huge sums of stolen money out of Nigeria and into Switzerland secret accounts. Instead of prosecuting them they have been asked to get out.

As we speak, Switzerland is sitting on our national wealth and refusing to release them. HSBC has stolen wealth by people like Atiku, who dip hands in our national treasury and launder them to foreign banks in Nigeria and who turn around from there to deposit the money into banks in foreign soil.

PDP is a minority in the Federal Government of Nigeria. It is part of the sovereign government. So why is the Presidential candidate of PDP defending syndicate banks that aid them to steal national wealth?

Whats Atiku's justification in defending HSBC and UBC?

These banks are correspondent banks. What they do mostly here is represent foreign interest. But in truth, they are conduit pipes for fraudulent transactions ripping us of foreign earnings. These are the kind of banks that foreign oil companies use in pushing money made from understating the actual crude oil sales. You can check the links below.
