If funds are duly managed in this country, we would be able to pay a minimum wage of 50k. When you know how much is spent to rig elections, you'ld be shocked

We can afford 100k minimum wage bro
Take it from me

These people loot billions of $ and if they have any iota of shame and a brain that has deep thoughts, they'll explore surely available ways to generate good IGR

.... But all they have upstairs is how to loot and loot and then prepare for the next election so they can loot more

Any governor who cannot pay #30,000 is not fit to be elected or re-elected.
Make me governor in all the states who claim they can't pay that amount and I'll show you how its done.

This is what happens when we depend only on oil as our major source of income.
Every state should be made to generate money internally by making full use of their God given resources.

They want to continue looting every pin that cums into dia treasury.
Nonsense!

“So, as Nigerians, we should look at the issues seriously. While other people are saying governors are flying jets and living in affluence, that one is not luxury but compulsory.
from what the man said i think looting is compulsory. we are doom.

Dey are just gathering excuses not to do it right.

If ds useless pple are forced to agree with 30k minimum wages

* Some states like Lagos, Rivers, Anambra, Kano....might be paying but will not recruit again for some years to come

* Some states like Ogun, Enugu, Kaduna,oyo.....might be paying main salary, refuses to pay allowances and deductions and not recruit again

While

** some states like Osun, Benue, Kogi will be paying 1 out of every 6 months

We av problems at every sectors and levels but seems minimum wages payment is more to states level dan federal government

But why not reduces funding for legislative salary, and presidency to fund more workers dat are d one working for it in d first place

They can recruit and still pay.
Every government can recruit a tangible number every year.
It's all about setting priorities in the right order and form.

Nobody is stopping them from entering jets.
Governors are public servants and all public servants are supposed to make use of public facilities.
If you decide to go private then you ought to pay from your private purse and not the state's purse.

Also what benefits has their compulsory jet flying brought to their respective states?

Sack workers who are not true civil servants

Cut down the governors convoy to maximum 3 cars

Cut down the governors staff to essential staff only

Shut down the governors guest houses

The Governor should stop chattering planes and fly economy and only make essential travels to Abuja and Lagos

Stop the nonsense party in government house

If you do this all states can afford 50k minimum wage for all civil servants comfortably

Apart from downsizing, these Governors will rather die than to temper with what concerns them.

Greedy sets of Pigs.

To be frank, I agree to the downsizing of the labour force. NLC and TUC are just been inconsiderate in this matter. N30k is too much for some states to pay.

The governors should sack workers and keep what they can afford to pay. Shikena

but what about Governors what is their own sacrifice, their take home pay will rather go up, while they sacked workers are used like sacrificial rams.

For a governor to say that living in affluence and flying jet is compulsory for them while the common civil servant cannot feed is an insult to the work force.
Reduce the salaries of all political servants and let us build our salary structure in line with realities. Period.

Some of us have IGR. For instance, the money Lagos State is using to pay is not coming from Abuja. They have a way of getting their money from IGR and that is why they can afford to pay. They get money through VAT.

Why can't those states that don't have IGR think of what they can do to generate money for their states?

They only sit there and do nothing. Idiots can't think of ways to generate money, they only wait for allocation from Abuja that they will lavish on their family and oloshos.

All of una dey madt. Bunch of shameless thieves.

Why not downsize the amount of money spent on yourselves and your cronies and see if you will not be able to pay even beyond the said amount?
Nigerian leaders are the most wicked and the vilest kind of leaders we have in the whole wide world.
The only reason they complain is that they will have fewer cash to stuff in their babanriga just like the Malam up north.

They are not creative with respect to generating revenues except running multiple taxation on the populace.

Their creative ideas is to steal monies.
