I think helicopter are no longer safe to fly except millitary ones. Personally nothing will make me enter it I don't just like it as a machine naturally it look so unsafe to me. The low flying capacity, the rattling noise, the unecessary long blades, easily target for terrorist to be blown off etc.

This is becoming prevalent.
Read similar news last week of helicopter crash killing newly wedded couple en-route their honeymoon.

Something is wrong somewhere

It just means more people are flying in helicopters as renting them have got cheaper. Although tech has improved but not so fundamentally in last 10 years. Most helicopters in use are not even brand new ones.

The more frequently and the more people who fly, the more the chances of crashing, all things being actually.
Regulations are not as stringent as you have in aeroplanes too, especially commercial planes. Despite the sad headlines flying is still quite safe.
RIP to them.
