Atiku is known to be a backstabber and someone who does not keep his words especially since he was the sole force who betrayed Alex Ekwueme and ensured he didn't clinch the Presidential ticket in his time. This, along with the past history of PDP has shown that his comment of only running for a term is false so APGA are more comfortable with PMB who only has 4 years left.

The theory is that a reality of just 4 years remaining for PMB is better and more trustworthy than the imaginary promise from someone who cannot be trusted and who is unwilling to put pen to paper on any legal agreement ensuring he would only run for a term.

PMB has a realistic single 4 years while Atiku has an imaginary position.

Buhari cannot go for 3 terms so this gives credence to why APGA has fallen behind him to give the South East a better shot at the Presidency.

This is a simple political script. Its already written. And its being played out as we speak
