(1) I got employed with relatively good pay. Saved up to 3m. So one man close to my house whom I have done biz with before told me about dredging biz. Me and him and two other guys teamed up together to do the biz bcuz it is capital intensive. We contributed 3m each or so I thought. We have already secured a massive water front where we will get the sharp sand. Construction Companies were already promising us patronage wen we finally start. Being that i'm working, most of the running around was done by two guys ( my friend and one other guy).
This my friend-older than all of us is the front guy in the biz. He is from Rivers man and knows quite alot of people.So he was the one that got us the contact for the water front. We entered agreement with the owner of the water front. infact we had to even pay him 400k to ward off one Italian company that wanted to take the biz from us. Time to look for dredger and this other guy went and brought his relative rickety dredger. When the owner of the water front saw the dredger we brought he said we are not serious. And that was how he cancelled the contract and gave it to intalian company. Nowtime for me to collect my money and this my friend started giving me stories. I never knew the money he was using to buy me bolle and fish na my money. Bcuz we have not signed the contract before sending d money, my money went fiam till date partly bcuz I was not alwys with them running around for the biz.

(2) One guy i met during nysc and have remained friends with since then brought one biz about helping hands.One of the organizers of the scheme had told him we can make 9m if we invest 4m. 1m again down the drain.

Wont even talk of small ones like 600k for trucking which I only made 200k.

All in all, the experience here is that one needs indept knowledge of whatever u want to get iivolved with. And dont ivest in biz u wont have time to manage.

I read everything too as I always look out for the bad deals to avoid. Well, the first step is to have a laptop and an internet enabled phone. If you have those 2 down, you should be then start looking at the startup capital which should be anywhere around 50 to 150k. Not much when compared to the tradition brick and motar biz models.

Get these down and then we can talk more. today alone I got like 11 orders of a 21k product. And I'm still a learner in my niche

Wow! I read every single word from start to current page. It is quite shocking how hardworking people lose money. One thing for sure is that, through constant learning and not giving up, success is inescapable.

What I indeed noticed was that in doing any business you need to be smart about using all your life savings, no matter how lucrative it seems.

The I made the very big mistake of my live last year. When somebody introduce the RED BRT business to me that with 1m I will least one from Ecobank & use it for 12months.

After the first payment, she ask for additional 900k to buy 4tyres.

Let me just cut the store short; I lost all my savings and loan collected making a sum of 2.5m. She is nowhere to be found

And if you're into world wide real estate, you'll know how difficult it is to find an apartment in new York. Really cool person, the agreement was that she'll pay me $500 for my services. This period after the two Berlin dissapointment I was one my last hope, my last leg. I was literally borrowing money from friends and family to find her this place. Generator was on from morning till night, internet was burning. I got her a place in a week, pronto. She saw the place, liked the place, paid for it and as per agreement was supposed to pay me when she gets the keys. She called me and said he has gotten the keys and would pay me that evening. I done happy dey call all my debtors dey para say why they wan kill me with call, lol. It wasn't only about the money but the realization that I had done it. So many people even my own mother and fiancee said, "you that you have never even been to airport, how can you find house for people that are there and have not even seen house for themselves". Iris didn't pay me that $500 o, especially when she realized I wasn't in New York. She ignored my message, blocked me on Whatsapp, facebook. Etc. I lost about €3500= 1.4 million naira. All this happened between August-november 2019. I lost but I also learnt, now I am very sure with God's help nobody will run off again cus I have set necessary precautions. My mama who said it's not possible is now encouraging me. When I start making steady six figures monthly I will maybe do a course program enlightening it's lucrativeness and steps to take as well as tools needed. Meanwhile I also have my own story. Last yr I invested over 5million naira in establishing a new record company. Avalon okpe shot the video of our Artist, spent over 1.5 m in equipping our music studio to world class standard. After all said and done, Artist no blow, record label studio turned commercial studio did not even pay from Artist recording.
It was a big mistake, huge loss and regret.

I am an IT guru and computer programmer. My regret is not investing in my field of specialization. I invested in music biz bcus of someone close whom I felt could handle and manage it well but did not.

My lesson learnt is to invest my money is a business that is related to my profession or area of specialization. This way you will be able to handle your business personally and effectively. Only you can do it better.
