Social media specialist role

The platform assistant is a startup company on a mission to use platforms to change the way consumers and producers connect and interact. We are looking for a Social Media specialist who can enhance our brand and build strong online communities through our various social media platforms.

The Social Media specialist will be responsible for developing and administering social media content that is designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between consumers and the company. The successful candidate will also be required to collect and review social media data to develop more effective campaigns.

Location –Lagos

Job Responsibilities
- Brand development
o Develop brand development strategy
o Suggest and implement new features to drive brand awareness
o Identifying target customers

- Promotion, engagement and conversion strategy
o Create social media strategy
o Develop campaigns to achieve corporate marketing goals

- Content development and management
o Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily
o Monitor social media accounts and offer constructive interaction with users in a timely manner
o Develop reports on social media trends


Experience/Education
- Graduates/undergraduates with focus on communication, advertising and/or marketing (Having a BSc/BA is a plus)
- Demonstrable experience with social media platforms (including facebook, twitter and Instagram)
- Minimum experience of 6 months developing content and managing social media platforms
- Demonstrable experience writing and crafting content for the social media space.

Expected salary – 40,000 – 50,000 P/M
Job will be on a contract basis
