It is with a heavy heart but a total submission to the will of the Almighty God that we mourn the death of six members of our great party, All Progressives Party, (APC), Kwara State chapter, who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident at Oke Onigbin in Kwara state in the early hours of Sunday 18 November 2018.

The APC family mourns the untimely passage of these great souls and party faithfuls. They would remain our political martyrs in Kwara State as their contributions and collective loyalty to our party signpost our victory in the journey of enthroning a responsive and responsible political leadership in Kwara State and in Nigeria. They dreamed and worked so hard toward a just society, where our fate as a people is enlivened by a faith in a just leadership. Their hopes and dreams shall never be in vain.

It is regrettable that these young patriots lost their lives just hours after they strived so hard to birth a new dawn in the political leadership of Kwara State. They were part of our political team that campaigned vigorously and voted faithfully towards the victory of our candidate in the House of Representatives bye-election held on Saturday 17 November. Sadly, it was also in the course of our party activity that they had the fatal accident, which unfortunately, took their lives and rendered some injured.

Although, we cannot question the will of God but we can and we would always remember them and their selfless contributions in securing a better Kwara and a greater Nigeria especially at this time.

We can only beseech the Almighty God to grant them eternal comfort and grant the immediate families, friends and associates including our great party, APC, the fortitude to bear this great loss. We also pray the injured a quickest recovery.
