3) J.K Rowling
This is the author whose book series has been translated into 73 languages, sold millions of copies and accrued over $20 billion through movie adaptations and sponsorships. Due to her want of digging herself out of depression and grievance, she took the job of an English teacher in Portugal for a year.

She had the goals of having the first Harry Potter book done by time she returned to Portugal but things didn't go as planned. She didn't only fail to make progress in her first book but also ended up with a broken marriage and a daughter she had to raise all alone. She definitely hit rock bottom with no job, no finished product and two mouths to feed. She resumed work on her book while her daughter was asleep.

When Rowling finally finished the first three chapters, she sent the manuscript off to a publisher, the answer was no. She sent it to another publisher and still got rejected. Sylvester had to sleep at the New Jersey Bus terminal for three weeks because he was broke. For this same reason, for this same reason he had to sell his beloved dog, his best friend for $25.

He got an idea for a screenplay while watching a Mohammed Ali match. Sylvester Stallone worked on it without sleeping for a whole weekend and after three days of working on it, the script was ready. He was offered $125,000 for the movie rights in one of the first offers he got, but the producers didn't want him to act on it. He walked away because it wasn't his dream. He was offered $325,000 few weeks later and he refused again. Fortunately, they consented him to act in the movie but with a low salary of $35,000 for a leading role.

The first thing he did with that money was to track down the person he sold the dog to and bought back his best friend for $15,000. The dog also starred in that movie, Rocky. Rocky grossed $200 million at the Box Office surpassing it's budget of $1 million. He said " it ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving, that's how winning is done. "
