I beg to differ with you. Nigeria is NOT our own Jerusalem; Nigeria is our country and Jerusalem is Jerusalem. When the Lord God said through the psalmists in psalm 122 vs 6 that : "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that bless you." He was not asking you to pray for your country but to pray for the peace of Jerusalem in Israel literarily. It is the city of the most high God and christ is coming back to rule the world from Jerusalem. '"The (whole) earth is the Lord and the fullness therein." (Psalm 24) Therefore, we should pray for our country Nigeria as citizens of Nigeria because it belongs to the living God and He has made us it's citizen to do his will for the nation; and as Christians we should also pray for the peace of Zion or Jerusalem.
