Is Atiku & Buharri The Most Innovative Minds Nigeria Has To Offer 2019?

Considering the requirement of the 21st century politics as the world jouster the pathway of global economy & digital age, I cannot but question if Buharri or Atiku are the best minds Nigeria can afford come 2019 election. When we reflect on security, immigration, national economy, education, transportation, human capacity & resource, energy, mining, industrialisation, entertainment, sport, employment opportunities, infrastructures, constitutional reforms, labour & wages....

As an economist & a political analyst, I must say that Nigeria is a land basking with opportunities than most developed nations of the world today but feasibly it doesn't translate that we are close to what we profess as our good accolades. This leaves observers around the world but to wonder if we are just a bunch of forever wishful & empty merry making people as we continue to play our traditional money bag & God fatherism & witch hunting type of politics in the name of patriotism, loyalty & selfless service to the people like the mouse eyeing the cheese in the trap as if it were a religious faithful eyeing mecca or Jerusalem or Rome where a lot of skills are expediently exhibited to perfect the interest & ambition of a group of persons. The question borders on if we are really moving forward or just repeating the cycle of going back to where we started?

More is expected of Nigeria as the giant of Africa but it is mind bugling if the country seems ever ready for the change we have long professed or some persons are just afraid to loose their loot & afraid of been over turned in the wake of the change on arrival. This is an open question, how did we get here or resolve at this success formula & where do we go from here? Out of the over 210 million Nigerians scattered within the Nigerian borders and over 170 million Nigerians scattered all over the world making the front page headline in their respective endeavour in the diaspora, Is Atiku & Buharri the most innovative minds & options Nigeria has to offer for a 2019 digital Nigeria to catch up with the fast paced countries with development of 50 to 300years apart in respect to infrastructure & human capacity? This is a question begging for needful answer. www.winterbaker.com
