Can't they protest with dignity? Why sit on the floor now?

This is why big men like to mess with the masses..
You are the one getting in wrong with a big man I am mentality. It is a protest and they are free to take any shape. Do you even know the meaning of dignity? Please explain how they are meant to protest with dignity.

The Nigerian worker deserves his wages (living wage), be it a staff of Buhari, Saraki or the Notorious Yahaya Bello.

It is well. If the NA/FG can't pay people that works directly under them, what would they do or what law would they enact for people like us that work in private organisations. This country is becoming a joke everyday.

Remove the FG from your comment. This is purely an issue with NASS and saraki

@POLITICSNGR

Information reaching the PoliticsNGR newsdesk on Tuesday morning reveals that the National Assembly has been shut down by workers protesting over unpaid salaries.

Angry staff shutdown both chambers of the parliament.They were protesting the non-payment of salaries, allowances and non-promotion by the management of the National Assembly.

The Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, and some lawmakers who attempted to gain access into the two chambers, were stopped by the angry workers.

For over five minutes, Ekweremadu, tried without success, to convince the protesting staff.

He had to access his office through another route. Photos below;

It's obvious we have lots of illiterates in Nigeria. Are these workers not civil servants?
These are not political appointees, but civil servants who are paid by the federal government. Some idiots here are shouting PDP. So Buhari is now in PDP or it's now the duty of the senators to be paying salaries for the FG.

Too many buffoons in our nation.

THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN A MONUMENTAL WASTE OF OUR NATIONAL RESOURCES.

Most of our legislators at the federal level are a FRAUD and are known to make laws that suit their selfish personal desires.

Laws that affect our collective overall development are never raised, discussed and forwarded for implementation.

What some of our legislators dream of is how to hijack our national treasury for their own personal comfort by buying choice cars, landed properties in overseas and Nigeria, furniture allowance, hijacking of constituencies allowances.

Now that Niger delta crude oil money is not flowing like it use to they are now biting their tongues and gnashing their teeths in pain over unpaid salaries.

The earlier Nigeria face the reality that befall this country and RESTRUCTURE our BATTERED FEDERAL STRUCTURE the better for us.

Let people go back to their various state to hustle for their daily survival rather than been spoonfeed with CRUDE OIL MONEY from the Niger delta region.

OUR MILITARY IMPOSED FEDERALISM THAT HAS BECOME THE PROVERBIAL ATM MACHINE TO MILK DRY THE RESOURCES OF CRUDE OIL PRODUCING STATES WHILE OTHER STATES CONTRIBUTE NOTHING BUT REMAIN IDLE SHOULD BE ABOLISHED

Nigeria need a small federal structure at Abuja preferably a parliamentary system that will save cost. The presidential system Nigeria is practising is rather too expensive and it is this system legislators are abusing right and left.

It is necessary that our federal legislature is run on part time basis.

Federal government should hands off so many expenditure that they are controlling give it to the states.

IF NIGERIA IS POLITICALLY RESTRUCTURED TO REGIONAL LEVEL OR WHATEVER THE BETTER FOR THE COUNTRY.

Now the federal government is wasting funds fighting Boko Haram insurgent in the North Eastern part of Nigeria.

Are NASS workers on payroll of Federal government?

You see FG proposed budget breakdown every year have u seen NASS budget breakdown before?

Pdp is in charge of National assembly led by sarathief and Dogathief. They have been stealing from Nass workers to bankroll 2019 elections.
Saraki used their funds to buy delegates and wasted it on kwara by election that his stooge lost.now he is planning to use Nass funds to pay kwara civil servants salaries backlog .

PDP WILL NEVER SMELL ASO ROCK AGAIN

You are very ignorant.
Obviously, you are one of the failures of PDP's 16 years of maladministration.
The National Assembly pays its own staff salary and allowances. It is drawn from their own budget under the management of PDP led Senate and House leadership.

Please go and learn how government is run.
Stop disgracing your unborn generations.
