Why Are People No More "As Poor As A Church Rat". by pacretus(m): 11:35pm On Dec 08, 2018 |
I remember growing up, and hearing cursing words like " as poor as church rat". but today everyone is shouting church business. no one remembers the past when pastors were mocked. Now that the endtime glory of God is starting to radiate on the church, people are now complaining. as if Christians were forced to accept Christ. 1 Like |

The rats used to find little to eat. Times were tough in those days. The church was full with humble people, who knew their work and loved each other. Then hatred filled the church in the guise of Love. Jesus' blood became a solution. To everything. Faith was stolen, and turned to magic. Do you believe? Say Amen. Do not Doubt. Only Believe Believe in Jesus became expensive - not to the soul, but to the pocket. For the sacrifices of the soul are love, compassion, kindness, truth, amd holiness. Where these sacrifices can not be found, the pocket becomes a cover. Faith became a means to wealth, seek ye first the kingdom of God and every naira shall be added on to you. As Jesus blood got cheaper, the pews began to fill up with all sorts of people. Crowd attendance became an indicator of spiritual growth, the church outgrew Jesus, founders replaced the Founder. The church rats now had so much to eat, they grew dangerously big.... 1 Like |

The "poor church rats" have always been the needy widows and orphans that are unfortunate enough to rely on the church for basic sustenance, and at no time did that expression ever referred to your greedy religious leaders. 1 Like |

pacretus: The expression "church rats" started from the church to describe the homeless poor who were reliant on the church for survival, it did not originate with me. 1 Like |
