Ogaaa government has no business doing business, that's one thing Nigerians should know. Federal Government does not have cows, it's the private sector that rears cows. Why should government keep land for grazing private cows? Those lands can be used for something to make this country great, build industries and refineries for employment. But what government can think of his using available lands for grazing reserves.

F.G lands belongs to Nigerians and not Buhari and his herdsmen. To follow your logic F.G staff looting should go ahead after all its F.G money and not for Nigerians. These lands were set up for other purposes and not ranching to use them to set up ranches for herdsmen is illegal and must be resisted.

Nobody is against ranching per se.

Let private individuals negotiate with tge land owners on ranch ownership. It should not be a Govt thing.

Govt should never go to the domain of people and give out a large chuck of land by "force" to another people all in the name if ranching.

PDP for Political reasons has repeated tried to demonize ranches. FG has the responsibility to take the lead. It is needed to help farmers. It will help resolve the reoccurring conflicts. And it will improve Food Security in the country. I am glad the Government is not giving up on it for convenience,

It is possible. Better still they can Setup the ranch and allow cattle owners to keep their stocks for a small fee. Nigerians can also get paid by selling grasses and feeds to various ranches.

No one is saying it isn't a profitable business but FG can't take land belonging to a state in the name of FG land and give it out to herders. Trust me it's going to be really resisted.
