SERAP has sued Buhari over failure to order Ganduje's probe, following bribery allegations against the Kano State Governor sparked off from alleged bribery videos released few weeks ago. 

According to the anti-corruption advocacy group, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, though the alleged bribery directly concerned Kano State, the Federal Government could not afford to look away.

SERAP who sued Buhari for failure to order Ganduje’s probe, also urged the Nigerian President to use his good offices to direct either the Attorney General of the Federation or anti-graft agencies to probe the bribery allegations against Ganduje.

In a statement on Sunday by its Senior Legal Adviser, Ms Bamisope Adeyanju, SERAP said it had finally sued the President before the Federal High Court in Lagos. The group further stated that it became particularly concerned following last week ruling of a Kano State High Court, which stopped the Kano State House of Assembly from probing Ganduje. 

The group through its suit marked FHC/L/CS/2055/18, are seeking  “an order for leave to apply for judicial review and an order of mandamus directing and/or compelling Mr Buhari to immediately direct the investigation of allegations of bribery against Mr Ganduje.”

“The applicant’s requests are not onerous but simply based on issues of public interest, good governance, transparency and accountability.

“It is in the interest of justice to grant this application, as the respondent has nothing to lose if the application is granted,” SERAP argued in the suit.

My advice for you (serap)is to align behind a "credible alternative" and vote him out....

Then you can then decide to sue him for his past misdeeds...

How can Buhari probe a sitting governor? They should sue the law makers that made the law were a serving governor and co cannot be persecuted or face the law till they step down. example FAYose that the federal Govt and effc could not arrest him till when he vacated the sit. If Buhari or police should arrest the governor the same u people will say he is not respecting the rule of law.....

some group of people have totally lost it ,same people advocating for independence of efcc, no interferance from the executives are now clamouring for executive order ...
the decision by efcc to investigate & probe is solely efcc perogative,its not buhari statutory duty to order efcc around.
same people who ranted fayose case was purely witch hunt & shouted immunity have now forgotten Ganduje is still a governor covered with same immunity ... the law only permit investigation to certain extent.
we accused buhari of nepotism but from people opinions/views are we different .. are we not been selective as to who we want efcc to arrest as well.
