The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia state, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah says he has signed a contract with people of the state, promising that if voted in as governor in 2019, governance will have a face in the state.

Speaking at his campaign office while inaugurating his campaign council, Ogah also said, "we are going to take our teeming youths off the streets of Abia because we will create Jon opportunities for them. We will no longer tolerate street trading in Abia state.

We will ensure free education from primary to secondary school and will make sure there are dual carriage roads in all the entrances to the state. Abia will be lightened up. Pensions and salaries will be paid as and when due and we will situate one mega industry in Umuahia, then there will be foreign direct investment in Abia."

He reiterated that he is the only Governorship candidate of the party, insisting that Ikechi Emenike is wasting his time and resources parading himself as a candidate.

Dr. Ogah charged the newly inaugurated members of the council to put in all they have to ensure the party comes out successful at the polls, assuring them that he is not only in the race to contest, but will win the election with landslide.

Earlier, Barr K.C Ugboaja, the Director General, Uche Ogah Campaign Organisation, said the present state government has failed in its promises and dashed the hope of Abians.

He said "no work has been done in Aba, Aba has only been used as a conduit to syphon the state's money."

Speaking, the Abia state APC Chairman, Rt. Hon. Donatus Nwankpa urged party faithful and candidates to carry other aspirants who didn't make it through the primaries along, respect them and "guide your utterances and respect the party laws. Be agents of change. The era of fraud has gone."

Nwankpa extolled the qualities of Dr Ogah, noting that the people want him to bring transformative leadership in Abia.
