What I am very sure of is this "Culture and the environment plays an important part on human behaviour".

Why do you think there were few if any gay behaviour in the days of our fathers (in Africa) as in contrast to what is obtained now when the whole world is a global village?

There is quite a difference between human behavior and human sexuality. Culture and environment has a way lesser effect on the later and this effect is mainly on how it's expressed in public. Human sexuality pertains to our sexual preferences - this is primarily biologically mediated and since lots of human sexual experiences are done in private, culture doesn't play that much of a role. There were female masochists in sub-saharan Africa before the advent of the internet.

Anthropological research has confirmed that homosexuality was prevalent in ancient African cultures. The current opposition to homosexuality in African countries is a consequence of the spread of Christianity post colonization.
