Are they truths for everybody? Because if they are, then you are already lying by saying that truth is relative.

Simple - The only absolute truth there is , is the existence of a God who created all. Everything else as it pertains to religious belief, is relative to our specific culture and tradition and in of itself is not the absolute truth , in the sense that all other beliefs are null and void.

Applying this to Christianity for instance; that Christianity is the only truth there is , is relative to that individual's upbringing, culture or philosophical inclination. It does not mean that Islam, Hinduism or Animism are false - false to Christians based on their supposed 'absolute truth ' perhaps, but true to the adherents.

In summary, Christianity cannot claim that Jesus is the messiah of all mankind , when ;
1. Half of mankind have never heard of the name Jesus
2. Billions reject this statement and worship God in their own way.

I personally think that imposing your belief on others with the threat of punishment is arrogant, cultic and ungodly.
