Funny enough.. Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) was bought by Atiku Abubakar during the privatisation programme. This is a major plus for Atiku..

And yet we have prepaid meters and other types of meters in my company's warehouse waiting for buyers.

Injustice is making people pay for what they don't consume... But who cares?

Nigerianization:
Get prepaid meters then.

Please reserve the protests for sensitive issues
This one no follow

Those electricity people are deliberately hoarding pre-paid metres. They know the estimated billing is a total rip off.
Getting pre-paid metres from them ain't easy.

They are prolly on 33kv line. They should protest to be metered and not reduction in availability
It is safe to say YEDC failed on NERC's directive. All DISCOS have been charged to provide meters to their customers ever since. A lot of then have been wary and running around to meet the deadline to avoid being fined. Supplying constant electricity to areas without metering units is nothing but daylight robbery.

It is same problem even here In Enugu. There is remarkable improvement in power supply for the past few months but the bill is something else.

From what these ppl are saying, only pre-paid meter can solve their prob.

My neighbour , a biz man, uses pre-paid meter with a shop that has two big fridge and a grinding machine and couldnt even finished 3k card in a month.
But I am estimated billing , a salary earner that goes to work at 6:30 am and comes back at 8pm gets bills of 7k or 8k every month.

You have to be cautious of power usage with prepaid meter

But estimated billing, I dont care, Everything keeps running till they get damaged.

Maybe IKEDC tuned the meter, I had to damage the meter myself so they were forced to put me on estimated billing pending replacement which I know it will take a decade

Well, when we say Atiku is the largest private employer of labour in Nigeria.. you think he was joking. His businesses stretch across many sectors of the economy. He has the highest shareholding in Yola Disco..
