God does not answer the prayers of the unrighteous; the prayers of the unrighteous are an abomination to God. God says He only answers the prayers of those who are already righteous meaning that even if you prayed till you are black and blue in the face, so long as your status does not change somehow from unrighteous to righteous, this through your own efforts towards obedience of God's Law, you will get a peep from God. What that means is that no amount of praying can make you become born again. To be born-again, you have to do what God commands.

As Jesus Christ explained in His sermon to Nicodemus, Man was born flesh and blood from his mother's womb. Jesus Christ told you this in His Gospel, affirming what God said in the beginning when He pointed out that man was made from the clay of this earth, not spirit - Genesis 2 vs 6 - 7

5 Jesus answered, “Believe me when I say that everyone must be born from water and the Spirit. Anyone who is not born from water and the Spirit cannot enter God’s kingdom.
