READ STATEMENT BY UDOM'S COMMISSIONER FOR YOUTHS & SPORTS

"Following a decision by Julius Berger Plc to recall their staff from their scheduled holiday, the Akwa Ibom State Government has approved the use of the Nest of Champions Stadium, Uyo for the flag off of the President's electioneering campaign on December 28, 2018.

However, all other terms of use will remain effective.

Organisers of the rally are expected to meet with the stadium management to finalise this approval."

Nevertheless, Akpabio had already issued a statement eailer today, stating that APC was going to use the Stadium and had already secured the place....so this press release from Udom is just to save face..

APC is already jittery of starting their campaign in Akwa Ibom state as it will be an embarrassing grand failure. They wanted to use the fact that the main stadium was not made available to them as excuse for postponing the event.

Now that Udom had granted the usage of the stadium, I am sure they will find another excuse to postpone it.....

I have no love for APC, but it's not like Akwa Ibom government have any choice than to approve their request. Because if they failed to, Buhari will unleash terror on the state either using army or Fulani herdsmen.

Don't mention God here. Udom is not winning any second term. How can he deny the President the use of a stadium built by an APC member. He Udom should have declined them using the factories he built and not the Stadium.
