This is why we Nigerians must learn to corporate with the police instantly to avoid unnecessary drama. Had they answered every question swiftly without prolonging the rapport, this wouldn't have happened.

I blame them for their death.

This is strong. But come to think of it, OP are you trying to blame the police for mounting check point? Check point is done even in my state too. From the crash, the man must have been using a high speed or maybe was about to dodge the check point. When one sights a police check point, one needs to slow down. Just my observation though.
I'm very sure there are no schools in your state, if not you would have been taught how to read and comprehend.

I totally blame the Police. Why did they flee

It’s because
1. They sighted that check point in a spot that has poor clear view. That’s to trap unsuspecting motorists who may turn on sighting them from a good head start.

2. If they had their suspicions about that car they should have cleared them off the high way. But they did not cos they were tactically looking for ways to extort them.

Check points have outlived its usefulness in Nigeria. It should be scrapped.

A family was involved in a fatal accident in the early hours of today while travelling to the village.  It was gathered that the man who arrived Nigeria recently from abroad, was travelling with his wife, two sons and his siblings to the eastern part of the country before the unfortunate incident.

According to GB Onitilo, the family members were stopped by the police on Otedola highway just before Berger at about 5.35 am on Saturday and they told the officers they were on their way to the village for the New Year.

While talking with the policemen at the checkpoint, a speeding vehicle rammed into their car from behind and wrecked havoc.

According to the eyewitness, the police officers allegedly fled the scene immediately after the accident.

The wife was killed in the crash as her body was brought out from under the vehicle while the husband's left leg got crushed completely.

The children and others were unhurt as the wounded man was rushed to the hospital with the aid of emergency officials who arrived the scene on time.

The man is said to be okay and will be moved to another specialist hospital to attend to his limbs.

What nonsense?

How can you declare that it is their delay in response that caused this?

How about police sticking to traffic regulations by properly clearing the vehicle from the road?

How about police being responsible by allowing a family with kids to move along instead of asking for Roger?

THE NIGERIA POLICE IS TOO CORRUPT.

THEY ARE JUST HUNTING FOR BRIBES AND NOTHING MORE.

See the way they send an overseas returnee wife to early grave and the husband bodily deformed.

No my Dear. Doing things right is what we , ( both Police and everybody) needs to learn to do. Cars must be parked properly and out of danger no matter how brief the checking was going to be.
