most of those private airlines were been owned by southerners (west inclusive). the northerners killed them with bad politics. the northerners play bad politics with business, if you are not their own, the frustrate you out. e.g Dangote swallowed ibeto with bad politics. in the Cement industry only two people dominate.Dangote and Bua(both northerners).
in other sectors he (Dangote) can't play politics, he's playing the catch up game( pasta &noodles, flour, salt e.t.c)

Aviation Industry is capital intensive.

Nigeria entreprenuer do not have the financial discipline and good management policy to sustain the aviation industry.

Most of them buy aging aircraft which becomes a "flying corpse" in the sky.

All over the world, they use again aircraft. Investigation shows that crashing of most airplane has nothing to do with its age

Sometimes I wonder if you folks reason with your anus.

We talking about how 16 airlines have been abandoned and all you can say is all these happened during PDP era...Chicken brain, abeg where were all the so called APC members when PDP was in charge, have you forgotten most of the APC members were once PDP flag bearers or you are too ignorant to have known this?

Last bullet: its almost 4 years now, please show us one airline APC have commissioned... I am not even talking about naming one they have setup themselves.

Too many brainless kids on Nairaland these days...smh

Nigeria truly deserve the kind of leaders she gets...lifeless people can only be lead by lifeless leaders.

Totally disagree. It may be the case for other sectors, but it doesnt apply to aviation. What of KAbo air? Chanchangi? What killed them?

For me, it was lack of govt patronage the killed most of them, not really northern bad politics. In some cases direct govt interference eg Sosoliso
