…Say gov is only guber candidate we are sure of handing over to Nkanuland in 2023

The people of Awkunanaw clan comprising 21 autonomous communities in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State have presented ‘Ofo’ to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as a symbol of their solidarity and endorsement of his re-election bid and proclamation of more successes in his political career.

The event which took place at Obuoffia square, the ancestral home of Awkunanaw, as part of the activities marking the Awkunanaw Day celebration, also witnessed the conferment of a Chieftaincy title of “Omereoha of Awkunanaw” on Gov. Ugwuanyi by the traditional rulers of the autonomous communities.

Presenting the ‘Ofo’, the Chairman of Awkunanaw Traditional Rulers' Council, HRH Igwe Felix Nwobodo Ani said “the traditional symbol of authority represents our solidarity and support for the governor to triumph over any obstacle that may come against his re-election bid”.

The Monarch further stated that the people of Awkunanaw were happy with the governor for his infrastructural development in the area, pointing out that the newly constructed road that leads to Obuoffia was remarkable being the first road project executed in the community.

During the Awkunanaw Day, the jubilant people of the various communities who gathered in their numbers to witness the cultural event, irrespective of political affiliations, told the governor that they "are pleased with the good works you are doing for our people" and consequently deserves their full support and recognition.

They said that Gov. Ugwuanyi, who is seeking re-election in 2019 to complete his second term as allowed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is the only governorship candidate the people of the state are sure will leave office in 2023 for power to rotate to Nkanuland, Enugu East Senatorial District. #amokelouis

An Hausa man and a yoruba man entered a bar in a hotel.

There were so many people seated in the bar eating and drinking.

They spotted an Igbo man by the corner and could identify him because of his "Ishi Agu" regalia and red cap.

In order to spite and humiliate him, the hausa man called on the waitress...

"Waitress, serve everyone in this bar pepper soup as as appetizer except that miserable nyamirii seated at the corner", he said.

The waitress did as she was told and served everyone peppersoup except the Igbo man.

The Igbo man said nothing but smiled to himself.

After a few minutes, the yoruba man decided to contribute and said to the barman...

"Barman, serve everyone in this restaurant drinks excluding that useless omoo yiboo seated at the corner."

The barman did as he was instructed and served everyone drinks except for the Igbo man.

The Igbo man yet again said nothing but smiled to himself...

Because of this gesture, more people started trooping into the restaurant and ate and drank to their fill from the instruction of the Hausa and yoruba men while they made sure the Igbo man tasted nothing. Because of the crowd, the hall started becoming hot...

The two friends asked the waitress to put on the air conditioners to cool the place but she told them the AC were not working and needed repairs.

"I will pay for the repairs of the ACs as long as that nyamirin man does not enjoy the AC. You must send him out", the hausa man ordered.

The waitress tried to say something but the igbo man made a gesture for her to be silent, got up and went outside to the overflow.

An AC expert was called in and he proceeded to fix the Air conditioners.

While this was going on, they noticed that the television in the hall was not on and called the attention of the manager of the hotel who explained to them that the DSTv subscription had been exhausted.

"I will pay for subscription for 6 whole months as long as you tell that omoo yiboo man outside to vacate the overflow and leave the premises of this hotel entirely, said the yoruba man. "I don't want him to watch the television and enjoy what i paid for", he said.

The manager was awe-struck and wanted to say something in protest but the Igbo man once again made a gesture that the manager should be quiet and obey the man which he consented.

The yoruba man collected the decoder smartcard number and used his phone to subscribe for the DSTv and the Igbo man left the overflow to the gate of the hotel but this time, laughing so hard to himself.

Everyone was then seated in the hall and enjoying themselves.

When it was time to leave, the two friends asked for their bill and they were told it was over N500,000. They gladly paid and were happy that at least the Igbo man did not partake in the jamboree.

But on second thought and out of curiosity, they decided to ask the manager of the hotel a question...

They wanted to know why the Igbo man seemed not to be provoked by their actions but was rather laughing and happy...

The manager said with a smile on his face, "Because HE OWNS THE HOTEL!"

Moral of the Story: It doesn't matter the kind of humiliation the Igbo man is subjected to in Nigeria by other tribes because he will still benefit from it and smile at the end!

Reminds one of the other day when Jonathan went all over Yorubaland bribing traditional rulers with our hard-earned dollars in return for votes. They all pointed walking sticks of failure at him kneeling in high expectation!! He failed!!!
