the executive generates the revenue and lays down the budget --the NASS controls appropriation,if we can stop the budget padding then there should be enough money for the relevant projects that need urgent attention

naaah!
your Nigerian railway network sterns from the British railway network design which Starts from Lagos and goes to kano to a point in sokoto(this runs on its own gauge line.then your railway link runs from Kaduna to connect another link which is Maiduguri to port Harcourt(this is another gauge)
what I am trying to say is that this rail lines are run by locomotives not electric.these rail networks are not electric power dependent but at the train stations where the offices are they run on power.
not the trains.

Learn. This is Standard gauge railway not the old British Cape gauge.

Was standard gauge railway in existence in 1896?

This is a new project entirely and it has nothing to do with British.

Ok I understand your talking about how train is powered. Its still odd not to connevt the train stations to Grid. The issue would come up either way. How the locomotive is powered isnt big deal to me personally as long it fast and clean. It can Gmgas, diesel electric or what ever cheap and available.

The Cape gauge railway that connected Lagos to Kano is totally different from the standard gauge railway network. EOD

yes the issue raised will definitely come up and will need to be addressed.
if we look at how it is possible for brt to operate the cms ikorodu axis with the kind of service that it gives.then one can pin point the current problems the abuja Kaduna trains are having.maybe the cost of ticket is too cheap to cover the cost itself?

All revenue are shared between the three tiers of government. The federal government, state and local. You look foolish spreading this kind of information all in the name of opposition.

This is the kind of data that should be sold to investors that will draw capital into the industry. Government can develop infrastructure, run it for a limited period, then sell off and reinvest in the next big thing.

Good on them. I will compliment their efforts for once. They still need to do online ticketing. Why are these major projects not connected to the grid from the start?
You mean our National power grid? Connect to it and experience black-outs more often.

Yes Standard guage is stand gauge. Its a unit of measurement. A standard-gauge railway is a railway with a track gauge of 1,435 mm. It's the frst standard guage rail in country.
