The Legal Adviser of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State, Alhaji Nasiru Sahabi Tambuwal, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His defection was announced in Dange town, headquarters of Dange/Shuni local government during the flag off of the campaigns for the 2019 general elections.
Other defectors included a former special assistant to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Alhaji Yaro Illelar-Gajara; PDP Women Leader in Tambuwal local government, Hajiya A’in Sokoto; former chairman, Matawalle G-23 and another top notcher of the party, Alhaji Hamza Yeriman Shuni, among others.
The former PDP chieftains said thousands of their supporters across their respective wards had also moved along with them to their new party.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Sahabi Tambuwal and Alhaji Illelar-Gajara said they left their former party because it lacked justice and fairness.
They also stated that they joined APC because of it had focus and fairness and the patriotic spirit and trustworthiness of its leaders.

The PHC-Aba line used to ferry passengers and goods to-and-fro four times daily. Unfortunately, both the PHC-KN and PHC-Aba have stopped. I spoke with an engineer and he told me the locomotive that plied PHC-KN had been sent back to Lagos (probably to replace a broken down one), while that for Aba had broken down... Before now, the economy was handled by professionals .
Professionals in their various specialties manned the affairs of the country, that's why we had the best economy in Africa. But today, we have amateurs and naive indivduals running the affairs of the country due to tribalism, nepotism, favoritism. Merit is thrown into the bin. For instance, how on earth will u make a lawyer the minister of power? Someone who knows nothing about the fundamentals of electricity generation, distribution and management. Who does that.

The effect of this on the Nigerian economy is where we find ourselves today--starvation, high rate of unemployment, high crime rates, ethnical killings, insecurities, etc. Just imagine how worse the situation will be if pmb is given another 4yrs. 1. Ajaokuta isn't back. Its still comatose.

2. There was no time in Nigeria that railway stopped working. If u are familiar with Lagos, trains have been working in oshodi, agege axis before 2015. Same 4d ijora train station which is very well patronised by northerners.

3. Which refineries are back pls? Even when Ibe kachukwu said d refineries won't work this year, u are saying they are back?


4. Where did farming go 2 b4 that u say its back. Was there ever a time Nigerians didn't farm? Has there ever been a time in d history of Nigeria that there wasn't food?


5. Importation of rice has been banned but virtually all d rice we eat in Nigeria is from Thailand then u say smuggling has been blocked


6. How has looting stopped? D govt boasts of several trillions in IGR, but external debt has increased from $11b to $23b in d space of 3years. Where's all that money since d "achievements" u outlined only exist in d minds of APC& it's supporters?

7. Also, after BH was "defeated", $1b was withdrawn from d ECA to fight a BH that had been "defeated". Recently, d Army suffered huge losses in terms of personnel& bases with soldiers complaining of lack of weapons. Also, several territories of Nigeria fell to BH. Were did d $1b go?
