“The main hope of a nation lies in the proper education of its youth” this quote has proven to be true through generations of experiences, proven to be true through the rise of wise nations, and the fall of ignorant ones. Education is the passport to the future; tomorrow belongs to those who are prepared or are being prepared today. Human cannot attain his full potential until he’s well educated.

It burdens the heart to know that the Federal government, under the sailorship of @mbuhari, are aware of this fact and yet choose to sparingly attend to this disturbing sitch.

The ASUU strike is an ugly gut-wrenching scene in a politically motivated pertubing movie in which the FG and the education leaders has forcefully thrown the universities students into.

Students sets out to withstand stress, unfriendly lecturers, hike in school fees, unfavorabled environment, long hours of study and many more deterrents, in struggle and in hope that there’s is light at the end of the tunnel only for the FG and ASUU to extend the length of the tunnels to the groaning of the students and their parents. We condemn this act and plead to the FG to reach an agreement with ASUU.

More outrightly disturbing is the issue of the NANS president who was voted to that position for the sole purpose of representing the students interest. Theses NANS representatives had the opportunity and media coverage advantage to table their grievances and ensure solution. It is disheartening that they were bought and turned into votes securers.
The NANS president even made an audacious statement, claiming he had the ability to secure 20 million votes for the APC from the groaning students suffering at the hand of the same party/government. This is an insane and downright empty promise.

It couldn’t be far from truth that this unrestrained talk of securing #20millionvotes by the nans president was inspired by the 150 million free cash they receive from the president. An unaccountable sum of fund to silence NANS and buy their loyalty. We refuse the nans flow of things. What we want is an agreement between ASUU and the FG. Let education needs be attend to and normal activities restored in various universities

We appeal to the FG to resume negotiations with ASUU and ensure that a resolution finally stands.
