The OP is not serious, must be a PDP member. How can you say trumped up allegations? Do you think anyone can joke with a Chief justice or bring allegations without evidence? You PDP guys don't know anything yet. Buhari is coming back with fury in 2019. Most of your leaders will be locked up for corruption, and of course any APC leader that corrupts himself. He has warned them already. Buhari means business.

Dorm account is different from a foreign account.

This exactly is how EFCC loses important cases.

Well the CJN should know better than to give the so called cabal something to feed on, the issue of false assets declaration is not something you wave aside, especially when you rise to top levels in government.

It's only when politics and elections are concerned that the stupidity and ethno-religious bigotry of Nigerians unveil itself.

Did you read the part where the CJN Onnoghen didn't declare his assets until just two months after the sweep on the judiciary in October 2016?
Even at that, Onnoghen only declared his Union Bank accounts and hid his Dollars, Euros, Pounds and Naira accounts with Standard Chartered Bank. He only funded those accounts through cash deposits running into thousands of hard currencies.
The balances on those foreign accounts were $164,804.82, GBP108,352.2, EUROS 55,154.56 and N8,131,195.27 as at 14th November 2016.

Now, for a right thinking and patriotic citizen, is this is not enough reason to prosecute him for corruption and possible enrichment through bribes that must have influenced judicial cases?

You've made a valid point. However, if the FG needs to prove that this not a witchhunt. They should also inform the other justices in the Supreme court to declare thier assets and also investigate thoroughly.
You can't just attempt to remove the CJN a month to the general elections and expect people to not raise flags or alarm.

Buhari Trying to Illegally Remove CJN

Earlier today, the Federal Government in a desperate bid to forestall democratic process on the countdown to Nigeria's Presidential elections, asked the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Walter Onnoghen to immediately resign as Head of Nigeria's judiciary over a very weak allegation of false asset declaration.

To further display their desperate tactics, the FG is planning to arraign the CJN before Justice Danladi if the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja.

Sources close to the CJN have revealed that the Chief Justice is unfazed by the theatrics of the Federal Government and will not resign, instead would rally the support of the body of benchers behind him and face the Federal Government which he is a part of, head on.

The Federal Government, led by a machiavelian Cabal within the Presidency have already named Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammed as the CJN's possible replacement.

A source has confirmed to reporters that the planned removal of the CJN is in line with the APC's long term plan to make all sensitive
positions in Government especially the Judiciary Northern in order to control election tribunals which have become a ripple effect of elections in Nigeria.

Now regarded as an affront on Nigeria's democracy and an act of desperation, the planned arraignment of the CJN by the FG is a last trick in the book as an imminent defeat looms in the February 16 Presidential polls where the President's ruling party is not campaigning.

This tactic was once used to try and bully the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki over a period of 3 years where there were constant abuse on the institution of the National Assembly.

While Nigeria awaits a turn of events on Monday following the trumped up allegations of the FG, it would be interesting to see how Nigerians would react to this recent attack on the Institution of the Judiciary which is the last hope of the common man.

What stupid law was broken? The accusations you trumped up against CJN remain allegations until proven in the court of law.

Besides, if you want to follow the law, why haven't you prosecuted Babachir. Recently, we got the information about Issa Funtua's manipulation and corrupt practice in connivance with EFCC & CBN. Your PMB govt is still to prosecute these guys and other corrupt folks in your fold but you wanna take on the judiciary.

This country is a lost course. Anything someone doesn't like is perceived as political persecution. The former boss of Nissan motors is currently facing criminal charges in Japan for simply under reporting his legitimately earned income. Not for stealing or anything. Here in Nigeria, catch a person with their hand in the cookie jar and some people will still jump to their defense. What a pity
