Idris’ retirement today is pursuant to the Nigeria Public Service Rules (2008) Section 020818, which stipulates “the compulsory retirement age of all grades in the service shall be 60 years or 35 years of pensionable service, whichever comes earlier.”
Due process is the key.

due process wasnt followed. He should have retired when he attained 35 years of service (which came first)

He did not say Southerners. He said Southeast. Ibrahim Coomasie wasn't a Southerner. He was from Kano. The only South Easterner to occupy the position was Ogbonna Onovo.
