The rain tapped away on the roof with great rush.
She sat with her hands between her legs. The streams of tears on her were like bullous.
The tick sound of the wooden window blinds cursed the silence.
"Miss Ede," He called softly. She raised her head to look at him, but his face was cloudy. She wished hers was same.
"It is not the end of the world." He said, with the air conditioner blowing harshly to his side.
She stood quietly, but the chair had a short kiss with the floor.
Earlier when she came, she wondered why he left the AC on and the window open despite the rain. Now she found an answer for the second.
"How far is it to the ground?" The breeze blew the rain over her face as she lifted the blind.
"Why do you ask?"
He did realise he did not get her question. He rushed to his feet.
