1. either democracy is expunged and the country's power taken by a benevolent philosopher king.

2. or Nigeria splits into its component parts and everyone goes their way.

anything apart from that will never work.

no matter who is elected, there will always be rancour.

if Atiku wins, Igbos will gloat while Yorubas and Hausas will fume for the next four years.

if Buhari wins, Yorubas and Hausas will gloat while Igbos will start shouting "give us Biafra" once again.

whoever wins, all parties will cry and suffer.

the system is rigged to fail because the political class benefits from a dysfunctional system like Nigeria's.

Nigeria needs a new dawn devoid of every fourth year politicking.

a new dawn that can't be ushered in by our present practice of democracy.

a new dawn that may have to include the fracturing of this great behemoth called the giant of Africa.
