Do you know why governance work in India and China? Their politicians take oath of office (swear) through means (instruments ) which are substantially rooted in their cultural values and beliefs.

When we give the Bible and the Koran to our "elected" officers to take an oath in Black Africa, we might be fooling ourselves. Neither do they believe in those instruments of oath taking nor does it (the instrument ) have a substantial socio-cultural value in the African tradition.

We have copied and transposed everything about us from the Europeans and Americans. Yet we have failed to move ourselves from sub-saharan Africa to Europe or America technologically, humanly, socially and otherwise.

In our different ethnic clivages, we have means (instruments ) and methods of oath taking. The African Traditional Religion is also considered as still having adepts in our continent. Since neither the Bible nor the Koran has served as a yardstick to grasp the conscience of our political class in the implementation of their promises. Let us try them through the African traditional means and methods of oath taking!

If a Yoruba man wins the election let him take his oath of office with ogun or any Yoruba deity

Same thing applies to everyone of any tribe who wins election
