President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday arrived Sokoto State to resume his nationwide political campaign for the general elections .
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the president on January 22 presided over the meeting of the National Council of State at the State House , Abuja .
The council of state took major decisions on national issues including that on the National Minimum Wage.
The National Council of State had approved N 27 ,000 as the new national minimum wage and lauded the preparations of the Independent National Electoral Commission for the conduct of the forthcoming general elections .
Buhari is also expected to take his campaign train to Birnin Kebbi , Kebbi State later in the day .
