ONNEGHEN, WIKE, PDP AND THE BURDEN OF CURRUPTION By David E. Oguzierem Former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Nkanem Onnoghen GCON did not only admit his false assets declaration, he amusely told belwidered Nigerians that he "forgot " to declare his assets. My goodness! Forgot to delcare your assets. A chief judial officer? Huge deposit of foreign and local currencies was traced to secret accounts of the highly respected former CJN. Monies running into millions of Dollars, Pounds Sterling, Euros and Naira was discoverd in secrets accounts of Justice Onneghen. Over 50 choice buildings and properties was also traced to the Justice Walter Onneghen. The matter was reported to Code of Conduct Bearue. The CCB quikcly reported the matter to Code of Conduct Tribunal. Justice Danladi Umar of CCT requested the appearance of Justice Onneghen. But instead of responding, Justice Onneghen used his influence and position to obtain ridiclous injuctions against the CCT. Justice Onoghen has descerated the temple of Justice, wherein he is expected to be protect. Justice Onneghen has a nagative history of setting free most corrupt PDP goons. Most walk free with our stollen wealth. Perhaps, his account is loaded with bribe colleted to free such corrupt individuals. THE WIKE/CJN CONNECTION When these sturning revelations was made last week, Governor Nyesom Wike quickly mobilzed all the PDP governors from South South to an emergency meeting in Rivers State Goverment House. The ridiculous agenda is better imagined than expected. Wike secured the consent of the visiting governors to ask the corrupt Justice Onneghen to never appear before any Court. He was mandated to disobey the court. Impunity. CJN also surprisingly obeyed. Basically, Wike was instrumental to the several ridiclous injuctions against CCT. He masterminded the open and brazing disobedience by CJN not appear before CCT. Governor Wike provided the backbone that energized the CJN to disobey the CCT. PDP AND ITS FRATANAL ALLIANCE WITH CORUPTION It is very surprising and shocking that the PDP members have not learnt their lessons. It has been proven that the name PDP is synonymous with corruption. PDP is corruption and corruption is PDP. No wonder, the PDP and its hoodwinked membership naturally gravitate towards defence of corrupt people and systems. It is dangerous how a struggling opposition party will naturally allign with obvoiusly corrupt and stinking situation. I think the PDP has become the proverbial vulture that naturally and instinctively fly towards the dead. PDP has become a "union of vultures". It flies towards rottenness and stinking environments. It takes joy in swinmming in the pool of feaces, decayed abjects and evil. One may want to ask if the former Justice Onneghen is a card carring member of PDP. Or is there a pact we are unaware, which is planned to be executed after the general elections. Was PDP planning to launch back through the back door, using the Supreme Courts? Was the huge deposit of funds in Justice Onnoghen accounts bribe money meant to deliver injustice? Was the CJN an accomplice of a gangup? Beyond the discovery of this questionable funds, the authorities should investigate the reson behind such huge deposits. The removal of the CJN is timely. He is considerd a zeus or Pope in the temple of justice. He is not expected to be any less an angel. He must be holy at all times. The CJN criminal kiss of the forbidden fruit is both an abomination and abberation. He pleaded guilty before his arraignment, by conceeding commiting the crime. I think the most honurable thing that CJN should have done to escape the hammer that has befallen him would have been to resign. Now that he has been suspended, let his celebrated prosecution begin. If he is innocent, he will be reinstated, otherwise If he is found guilt, I wish him cool time in Nigerian prison system, where he has sentenced most innocent Nigerians over and over again, perhaps with blood money as a motivation. Weep not for the Justice Walter ONNEGHEN, former CJN. David E. Oguzierem is the Convener and Chairman of Tonye Cole Associates. 2 Likes 1 Share |

If dumbohari survives this brazen destruction of the Judiciary then I'll know Nigerians are hopeless. The legislative seems to be only hope of the common man now. When they reconvene on Tuesday, they must serve dumbohari his impeachment notice and serve our democracy which has suffered so much rape and battery from that tyrannic numbskull. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Almost everyone on social media voiced former Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun into resigning. Some even asked that the President remove her to prove that he's truly fighting corruption. When the brilliant woman saw that she truly erred by submitting a fake NYSC Exemption certificate, she did the honourable thing. She tendered her resignation letter and left. She RESIGNED! By that time, those of you ethnic jingoists didn't see Kemi as a Southerner. You screamed at her, cyber bullied her and even hurled abuses at her. Now it is the turn of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, who admitted himself that he 'forgot' to declare his domiciliary accounts which was loaded with £23,409, €49,971 and $391,401, including 55 houses undeclared, and by so doing, he breached the Code of Conduct as a Public officer and was suppose to have resigned straightaway if he had any modicum of honour, integrity and shame as the custodian of the Nigerian Law, but he didn't. Instead, he was doing everything to stall his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. All those times, you didn't call for his resignation the same way you did with Kemi, you didn't bully him to resign the way you bullied Kemi, you were instead urging him to stay on, you were drumming support for him and some of you that were deceiving yourselves with your forming neutrality didn't say anything all this while too, you deliberately turned dumb. When it was first revealed a fortnight ago that the Chief Justice of Nigeria didn't declare his domiciliary accounts with dollars starched in it, all you were vituperating was that the President wanted to remove him because he's a southerner. You acted dumb on the offence he committed. Now that the CJN has been suspended, those of you fake neutralists are now crying foul. You're screaming that democracy is in danger. Can y'all see how nonsensically hypocritical you are? Your hypocrisy is legendary. Your hypocrisy stinks. You shouted and bullied Kemi Adeosun into resignation but aiding Onnoghen who can't explain how he got the foreign currencies starched in his domiciliary accounts which he didn't declare plus 55 houses. A whooping 55 houses. Instead of the CJN to resign honourably and go clear himself, he was busy running from pillar to post buying injunctions to stop the case against him. Just a couple of days ago, another $630,000 and $800,000 was discovered in his separate domiciliary accounts again. Y'all pretended you didn't see the news, abi? Sensing that he could be suspended by the NJC, the CJN quickly suspend their meeting indefinitely. Why? So that he can stay on. You can imagine! You asked Kemi to resign but Onnoghen who was selling justice for dollars and deliberately didn't declare those dollars in his domiciliary accounts including 55 houses should stay on, and he should be left alone. Arrant nonsense. PDP ARE SUPPORTER OF CORRUPTION 4 Likes 1 Share |

Mr senator please be truthful to yourself, your senatorial district and Nigeria at large. What is illegality in suspending an officer from office to answer corruption charge he admitted as forgetfulness case. |

Most people dont even know the substance of the issue, but just following the band wagon. However, although the CJN appears to be culpable, the urgency and speed to get him out while his replacement immediately starts appointing tribunal officials seems very suspicious...The corruption fight seems to be aggressive only when there is something to gain....and it has always been so. "Its a vicious circle of a failed system". If the opposition was in power they probably will do same. Its really not about pmb or atiku, apc or pdp. Its about a "failed system" were the constitution is flawed and even its interpretation and implementation is lackluster. amaechi1: 3 Likes |

The same onoghen you're crying refused to appear before the CCT, he also adjourned the NCJ meeting just because his afraid.. Shameless men.. In developed countries this man would have been forced to resign. Our politicians commit offences and use the so called rule of law to cover up. Nonsense politicians Nonsense supporters. Peacemaker5128: The law is in black and white and here is what it says The charge against the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen ought not to have been instituted at the Code of Conduct of Tribunal in view of the case of Nganjiwa v FRN (2017) LPELR 43391 wherein the Court of Appeal held that a judicial officer who has not been investigated by the National Judicial Council and sanctioned for misconduct cannot be arraigned in any criminal court in Nigeria. Unfortunately the CCT doesn't have the powers to sanction any judicial officer not to talk of the CJN just the same way a SUG president doesn't have the powers to suspend or rusticate a fellow student,I hope I have made myself clear enough for simpletons like u. 2 Likes |

netpro:Is it that you do not understand that buhari does not comprehend what is going on in his government and that he is just a figure head? That a cabal is truly ruling the country? The man has said it himself severally he is not aware in many instances. His vice president has said it even his wife too. For those who know, the corruption going on is said to be 5x what went on during the previous regime. Surprised yeah? I doubt if you believe.
