Onnoghen is not been tried on a criminal case. No body is disputing how he got monies in his account, if not you would have had EFCC and ICPC gruelling him.

The case is about a mere declaration of asset.

APC and their devilish croonies are trying to turn in around into a criminal case which it isn't.

When in 2015 Osibanjo a mere judge in a,state declared almost $1 million in his bank account, how come nobody questioned how he got them?

The CCT trial is not a corruption trial.

Mere? U most be an enemy of this nation..

Because they DO NOT HAVE THE POWERS TO SUMMON HIM! , Simple.

The law is clear on how he can be dealt with.
Thats not true bro

Onnoghen himself declared that in matters concerning asset declaration the CCT is the highest court. The CJN does not have immunity from asset declaration offence

So many idíots here talking crap. Do you know what it is to be the CJN? There are SAN that have more than Onoghen.

Illeterates here think being a lawyer means you are a charge n bail.

U go sch so?

Because obviously you are the real illiterate. The law says every public office holder must unfailingly declare his/her asset prior to assuming the office. Now the No 1 citizen as far as judiciary arm of govt is concern violate this law and cited forgetfulness as a reason.

Now, common sense should tell you that, if and when such public office holder is found guilty of the aforementioned law, it become pertinent that the agency in charge should investigate to the last kobo every of the undeclared asset (s).

You've said it all, how Onnoghen made the billions in his account isnt the issue; there's no law stopping him from having private businesses that can give him trillions. Nobody said he stole the money. The only issue is, why did he fail to declare it all before assuming office? That's what the law says and he knows the rules too well.

And by the way, Osinbajo wasnt a 'mere' judge like you claimed. He owns a globally renown law firm that has won som huge cases in verifiable history.

Its very funny that people are lashing out on only Buhari (he also acted stupidly) with soml much vitriol when the real culprit is the CJN. A whole head of.the Judiciary. First of all, he didn't declare his assets beacuse obviously he can't describe this sources of wealth. No one screamed Blue murder on something that obvious. Secondly with an authoritarian move, he suspended a meeting that was meant to.act on the CCT's order to suspend him. That move alone is undemocratic, corrupt, selfish and an abuse of power from.a whole CJN because he was trying to delay Justice. No one lost their brains over that. The NBA who should have called him.out on this but they kept mute all because of Partisan politics.

No one brought the internet down. If he had done the right thing, will the Executive have to.step in? This is just Hypocrisy on Steriods!!

Let me tell you the rape of Democracy here, A CJN who has kept a whole body like the NJC hostage, A senate who should.be sitting to.delibrate on national, legislative and budget issues but left their jobs to campaign and also the President for unsurping the power of an independent body. I'm vehemently anti Buhari. But that wouldn't mean I'm blind to these questions

1) What Exactly is his source of all these wealth?
2a) If legit why didn't he declare?
2b) Can forgetfulness be an excuse when ignorance isn't?
3) If not legit then what a scandal!
4) Doesn't that mean MOST of our top men in Nigeria are secretly filthy rich?
5) SHOULDN'T THERE BE A NATIONWIDE INQUIRY INTO THE ACCOUNTS OF ALLLLL NIGERIAN PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS IRRESPECTIVE OF PARTY, TRIBE AND RELIGION?
6) What is wrong with the black man's brain? How could u be so rich and living in a country that is so poor? IS THERE SOMETHING INTRISTICALLY WRONG WITH NIGERIANS?

This has NOTHING to do with politics. Removing Buhari remains a goal.

Lawyers make huge money during election period. When they pursue their case in court they charge them so high amount and the politicians do pay.
That's how Lawyers make money and i dont see any wrong there.

Even if you link Onnoghen to murder of CHARLES DE GAULE and JF KENNEDY, the law has provided a procedure to deal with him. Anything less or more is acting "ABOVE THE LAW".
Somebody must sooner or later be made to pay for this nonsense.

BUHARI IS NOT ABOVE THE LAW!
And u think the smart crook Onnoghen did right by trying to buy time when he suspended NJC meeting indefinitely that would hv investigated him? PMB didnt go against the constitution. Same Onnoghen in 2013 delivered a landmark judgement that on matter relating to breach of code of conduct act, like in asset declaration, the CCT has the power to penalise such public servant.
If Onnoghen were really remorseful after admitting in writing that he "forgot" and not trying play smart, he would hv recuse himself and let NJC act not suspending the body indefinitely. That judicial tyranny.
Finally fighting Nigeria's kind of corruption where everything is compromised, the rule of law n due process re already handicapped, necessity and urgency become inevitable.

No northern CJN will ever go through this level of humiliation. Never! It would have been settled on Friday inside the Mosque after prayers. More so, the emirs would intervene and crush every dissenting voice within their sphere. This is one thing most Southern muslims and non-muslims do not understand and may never comprehend.

The North is strategic and never tarnish the image of the few brains they have alive. Never! Only the south pounces on the flesh yea demand the blood of their own to drink.

Nigeria will not move forward with sectionalism or nepotism but nepotism/sectionalism practiced across board will bring all to the table of rationality. Some folks will still not get this.

Where was your hollow sentiments when GEJ humiliated and hounded the current emir of Kano out of office as CBN governor?

The boldness with which you show your ignorance is annoying.... first Osinbajo was never a Judge in any state, he was attorney general for Lagos state, that’s commissioner for justice.... Also, no one is saying the FORMER chief judge should not own money, the question is why didn’t he add it while declaring his asset? Answer is simple, cos he can’t account for it....And mind you, Osinbajo has his law firm....Onnoghen has been a government worker all his life...... get your facts right before spewing rubbish online...

Foolish Southerners. They don't have sense. A gworo chewing Aboki has more intelligence than many people from the southern part of this country.

If Musa steals, he is spared. But if Kola or Nedum steals they'd be hanged.

What did Buhari say about Gandollar? He patted him on the back. What did he say about Babachir? He appointed him as his campaign director for Adamawa state.

What of CCT chairman? What has happened to him?
Even if the CJN is guilty I will support him to the last.

The judiciary is an arm of government not an agency of the Federal Government. While the CBN holds his appointment at the pleasure of the President, the CJN does not!

It's called separation of powers, the idea of limited government to prevent abuse of power.
