The young man has just made a very, very potentially costly mistake. . . . RM is not the club to be at just now, no! |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by dayokanu(m): 5:25pm On Aug 19, 2010 |
Kaka is injured till December and Ozil would get playing time. He is still 21yrs even if the Madrid experiment fails he still has a long time ahead of him. Toba, CR7 plays as a support striker nowadays. So Alonso Khedira and Ozil can play in middle |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by RuuDie(m): 6:14pm On Aug 21, 2010 |
dayokanu: no need to sugar-coat the situation. . . . . Ozil will never get enuf games to collect a winners medal if RM end up taking the title away from Barca - if he moved to RM cuz he truely wanted to play football and not for money, then he berra think again. Even in Hollywood FC he wouldn't see shirt, talkless of RM! |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by Nobody: 9:44pm On Aug 22, 2010 |
Oezil is my boy,but hes overzealous&may regret his decision. Lahm, schweinsteiger, muller, ribery were lured but they saw the future&remained focused in the BLiga. He thinks he has arrived. Go ask ur ogas like roben, sneider, hunterlaar, henry, owen, ibrahimnovic. |

Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by yousouph(m): 5:45am On Aug 23, 2010 |
There are quality playas that will be sitting on the bench with new playas comin in. What are other managers waitin for? |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by RuuDie(m): 6:37pm On Aug 24, 2010 |
dayokanu: Take your pick. . . . . . . . Xabi Alonso, Esteban Granero, Pedro Leon, Sergio Canales, Rafael Van Der Vaart |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by dayokanu(m): 6:53pm On Aug 24, 2010 |
Xabi Alonso is not attacking so he isnt a direct competitor with Ozil, Van Der vaart was there when he was overlooked repeatedly, No one has faith in him even the Dutch coach van Marwijk. They are just looking for who would buy him. Ozil has a bigger pedigree than Canales and Leon. Ozil is one of the revelations of the World cup at least he would get his chance till he messes it up |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by mamagee3(f): 12:03am On Aug 25, 2010 |
That's good news, I think Jose Mourinho will make him take the place of Diarra. Since real madrid is making plans to sell Diarra and Van der Vaart. |

Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by RuuDie(m): 1:11pm On Sep 10, 2010 |
dayokanu: It doesn't matter who is direct competitor or not - the point is there is very limited available starting slots in that RM midfield. Ozil has bigger pedigree than Leon & Canales Maybe in his li'l turkish villa, definitely not in Spain - I really don't need to say much, RM's starting 11 against Mallorca tells you how much of a mistake Ozil made. . . . invariably, if Kaka had been fit, he probably would never have made the bench! |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by dayokanu(m): 2:24pm On Sep 10, 2010 |
VdV has been sold out. Leon and Canales? Do they even have national team caps? Ozil was a star at the World cup. Whether Leon and Sergio Canales would ever achieve that is something we have to find out in their next 20yrs |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by medjai(m): 7:11pm On Sep 10, 2010 |
Canales is like the hottest youngster in Spain right now. Mourinho is known for never giving youngsters playing chances yet Canales played almost all the pre-season games and started against Mallorca. Canales, 19 started ahead of Ozil with all the world cup hype around him. That says it all. If Canales was not needed, he would have been relegated to the Castilla |

Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by dayokanu(m): 7:43pm On Sep 10, 2010 |
Mourinho knew they had Canales yet he bought Ozil. Whats the biggest game Canales has ever played? Whats the biggest opposition he has ever played, whats the biggest "alien" stadium" he has ever played? Has he ever played any European competitions before? Ozil has played in the CL and UEFA cup with Bremen lots of qualifiers and WC games with Germany in very hostile places including freezing Russia where no team has ever won before. He is a kid yet seen a lot. Take canales to Nou Camp, San Siro and Munich under very hostile condition and watch him freeze |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by A40(m): 9:44am On Sep 11, 2010 |
I hope he doesn't end up like Metzelder but a great move all the same. Real Madrid have pretty high expectations and his goal return is pretty low for an AM somehow i just am not sure he would meet up but i hope he proves me wrong. |

Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by jalether(m): 8:11pm On Sep 11, 2010 |
After his exploit at madrid so far and in the wc. I will gladly slap the dog poo out of anyone that doesn't give the young maestro the props he truly deserves. He is too intelligent. . . . recognises and does what is necessary at every point in time . . . ala Zidane. |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by RuuDie(m): 2:17pm On Sep 13, 2010 |
dayokanu: Who cares about national caps & WC stardom. . . . . . and BTW, who the bleep knows Ozil in Spain do not mistake some small publicity in Nazi-land as worldwide popularity. Fact remains when Kaka returns & we all know for certain that he will your much revered Ozil will sit his butt on the bench so much that the only sponsorship deals he will make will be with ROBB - lucky for him their subs benches in the bernabeu are bit more comfy than those in Onikan! |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by dayokanu(m): 2:29pm On Sep 13, 2010 |
Did anyone see the Madrid game this weekend? Ozil was easily MOTM. Food for thought |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by RuuDie(m): 2:41pm On Sep 13, 2010 |
dayokanu: Ozil MOTM Okay, he made some good moves but last time I checked it was a frigging centre-back that galloped about 80yards to poke that rebound in! |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by dayokanu(m): 2:52pm On Sep 13, 2010 |
Anyone that scores is the MOTM? Shocking statements |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by jalether(m): 3:19pm On Sep 13, 2010 |
RuuDie: You can't be serious. . . just tell me that was a joke |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by RuuDie(m): 3:29pm On Sep 13, 2010 |
dayokanu: In a match as lacklustre as that. . . . . where do you think MOTM will come from!? |
