medjai: ozil owned England and Argentina at the World cup, I guess those are not big games right? At U21 level he was best player at Euros where he single handedly destroyed England |

medjai: How many Madrid players didn't fade into oblivion in the el classico? Ronaldo, casillas, ramos, alonso et al must be threading the path if higuain too medjai:so was the entire germany midfield. NO? Scheini and khedira were taught footballing lessons by Xavi and Iniesta, so why single Ozil - a young talent that isn't in his peak yet- out when established players failed miserably in the same matches? |

''Oezil can have Real Madrid built around him for the next decade. So far his performances have been superb. He understands the game well, when to quicken the tempo, when to slow it down, when to pass short and when to hit it long,'' said Butragueno to Spanish website, AS. http://www.goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2011/03/08/2385755/emilio-butragueno-real-madrids-mesut-oezil-can-be-as-good-as |

"a street footballer whose director general, Jorge Valdano, believes "will define the next decade" and whose team-mate Xabi Alonso describes as "the kind of player you don't find these days". "He's the kind of player who goes down well," Valdano says, "even opponents like watching him." "He understands the game, sees things, combines and thrives between the lines, unlocking teams," Alonso says. Valdano highlights his "collective play", the ability to "create football". "Ozil," Mourinho says, "is unique. There is no copy of him – not even a bad copy." "Ozil is playing absolutely fantastic football," Mourinho says. "Real Madrid have a great player – and for a long, long time." And finaly - about a media hyping him: "Ozil," says Alvaro Arbeloa, "is a scandalously good player. I wouldn't say the media jumped on board too quickly. In fact, you've taken your time to realise just how good he is. Then again, we see him in training every day, you only see him once a week. We knew he was special straight away. Sometimes it can seem like Ronaldo is the only player here, but there are other good players too – and Ozil is bueno, bueno." |

@ Dayo, some other persons would say the same about Chicarito, David Luiz, Suarez, Van Bommel, Aquilani etc. |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by dayokanu(m): 5:55am On Apr 23, 2011 |
RuuDie: Of those you listed, 3 of them were signed mid season Aquilani what? Only Chicharito would even come close to Ozil, the man/boy who is about to send Kaka out of Madrid |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by RuuDie(m): 8:09am On Apr 23, 2011 |
dayokanu: Bottomline is. . . . .Some people will say this one is deal of the season, others will say otherwise. Yeah, the boy/man is good but "the next Zinedine Zidane!!?" - c'mon, thats worse than you usually accuse the English press of |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by dayokanu(m): 10:32am On Apr 23, 2011 |
Who has called him the next Zinedine Zidane? Definitely not the German media, Mostly its his club mates and Club executive Emilio Butrageuno who likened him to Zidane. See what his club mates say about him above. And its really nice to see you eat the humble pie and your predos fall flat on its face A boy you never gave a chance now about to send Kaka out of Madrid, That a a big cup of shut the fork up |

Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by RuuDie(m): 11:40am On Apr 28, 2011 |
Mourinho made a change at half time, bringing Emmanuel Adebayor on for Mesut Ozil – who completed just two passes in the first half – and pushing Ronaldo to the right of midfield. This change has been questioned in the immediate aftermath of the game, specifically the decision to bring on Adebayor over Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain, but it made perfect sense – Adebayor had a very big impact in the previous two Clasicos from the bench. He was the logical choice. Jesus, Joseph and Mary. . . . . |

^^ Ozil has always been liable to "passengerism", even in his Bremen days. . . On his day there aren't too many better. |

dayokanu: hernandez shits on him though as far as influence/importance to the team is concerned! |
Re: Ozil Signs For Real Madrid by dayokanu(m): 5:45pm On May 11, 2011 |
I think hernandez should edge him in the buy of the season. Even Hernandez should be PFL player of the season instead of the silly Gareth bale I am sure GAYYners would tell us Chicharito was bought for $100m, Sine quality must come in 3 figure fees |
